Buono's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Long Beach

*San Pedro Buonos on 6th St.

We entered the restaurant counter. They asked us if we were dine in or take out. Dine sit wherever you want. 5 minutes later she came with the menu. We sat waiting another 15 minutes before i walked up to the counter to order our food. Another customer followed behind me stating she liked the other Buonos better, this one had no atmosphere or customer service, i agreed. I ordered our food but they said they couldn't sell me a half carafe of wine. Per their Covid rules it was considered as an open container. So i ordered a beer which they did not have. Oh well back to my table. Decided on the salad bar requested fresh salad the remnants were wilted and soggy. We got our food delivered to the table. We went to the soda machine for refills since noone came. We waited and waited for the check that never came. So we both went to the counter. The guy asked if we were ready to close out and did we need anything else. What a joke im leaving and now you ask me if i need anything. Thank goodness for their good food or i would not come back. I won't be dining in again along with the 2 other customers behind me "Closing Out our tabs". So much for customer service and they have the nerve to put out a big tip container. There were only 4 tables occupied when we got there at 7 pm. I could see if they were busy or closing . I guess they figure they get paid no matter what because im pretty sure they didn't recieve many tips. This was Saturday Aug. 20th. San Pedro 6th Street location. Buonos has been my favorite pizza place for many year. Never had a problem when dinning inn or getting a carry out. The employees in the past have gave great customer service and even when I brought coupons they honor them. Lately the employees that I've seen are lazy with poor customer service I went to eat on a Wednesday and they never came to my table. I had to go to the front and order my food as if I was doing a carry out. They only came to the table once to bring the food and never appeared again to see how we were doing. Then on Saturday I had another incident where I ordered a carry out through the phone and send my husband For pick up. I had a coupon and gave the guy The coupon code and information letting him know I wasn't the one that was going to pick up the pizza. The guy was very rude asking me to bring the coupon if not I wasn't able to get the discount. I am formed him that I had a coupon code and any information needed. He neglected me and give my husband a hard time when he arrived to pick up the pizza not honoring the coupon my husband had to pay. It's very disappointing because we eat there more than twice a week and They can't simply honor a coupon makes me think why they have coupons online and send through mail if they are giving people a hard time when using them. I will definitely not eat there anymore or refer people the customer service was...

I never ate at this location I remember going to buono's in downtown Long Beach on Ocean avenue. That was some years ago and I enjoyeSo I decided to try bonus at this location on Willow just for Old times sake. So the first thing I didn't like is I handed the debit card to the cashier in his hand but when he's finished ringing up the transaction, he puts my card on the table. I think that's disrespectful and maybe next time moving forward I'm not going to give nobody their card in their hand in the morning I'm just going to put on the counter like everybody else does to me. Then when I get my food they don't give me any napkins or utensils like I'm supposed to use my fingers to scoop up the pasta in my hand. After you bag somebody food you supposed to put utensils in and napkins. So I had to go back and ask for one. I don't know if they do this to everybody or just people that look like me 🧐🤨😬but I didn't appreciate that. Besides that the food was okay I didn't get a whole lot of shrimp but that's most restaurants I guess I haven't made about six pieces of shrimp in there. I'll be back though I'm going to make sure I put my card on the counter next time 😂 I don't know if the downtown location is still there but I'm going to try...
