Pho Long Beach — Restaurant in Long Beach

Phở Long Beach was steady and good. Hard to believe there are only two authentic phở 🍜 places that stay open past 6:30 PM in Long Beach! Bizarre. Head south eastward towards little Saigon for more late 🌙 night spots.

The three of us came in at 8:30 PM on a Wednesday night, no wait to be seated. Place was about 1/2 full with people trickling in until close at 9:30 PM. Front lot was small and full, there's another parking lot through the back alley.

Service was quick and attentive, staff were nice. No complaints. Typical to many smaller Asian joints, need something, then ask! This is not PF Chang's.

The phở flavors were solid. Not too heavy nor light. Phở shouldn't be overly heavy as you add your own side flavors as well with lime and soy sauce. Want it hot🔥then add hot sauce! Beef stock generally is a bit heavier than chicken or veggie, it uses beef bones to make. Phở is rarely ever made spicy, that's just weird. We used all the basil and bean sprouts, I love plenty of them. Add cilantro too. Shrimp spring rolls were excellent, ordered more to go, comes with peanut sauce which is made right. Always amazes me how peanut sauces can be gross or too runny, not here. Difference between large and small bowls is slight, small is plenty for me. Pay at the counter when you're done. Cash or credit is good. Definitely will be back to try some more phởnominal...

It's so hard for me to write this review 😪 . My family and I enjoy the FOOD. The food his good , but one the server there ,which I was so upset 😡 and didn't even catch his, was so rude . This was the second time so I had to say something. The first time I thought something must be bothering him so my family just let it go. But this time he was way out of line. I pick up a soup for my mother because she is sick, because we usually dine . He got upset because I did sign the receipt in the place , he also mentioned the tip . I told him I am not tipping him .I tip an other server but you , your mean .he said I was being rude cause of that and told me not to come back. I said WHAT !!!! . I TOLD HIM HE IS AN AWFUL MISERABLE YOUNG MAN. MY FAMILY AND LOVE THE FOOD AND ALL THE OTHER SERVES AND IF WE DECIDE TO COME BACK I MAKE SURE HE NOT THERE. I FEEL BAD FOR THE OWNER THAT IS ALWAYS VERY NICE BUT THIS YOUNG SERVE HAS BE SHOWN THE REAL DEFINITION OF RESPECT BECAUSE HE DOSE NOT KNOW IT. It's a shame I don't want to keep anyone from coming to the restaurant because I am honest when I say the food is good but that young server ruined for me...

Unfortunately I had the worst experience at this restaurant 1/12/2022 definitely need to train staff on CUSTOMER SERVICE ! When I first walked up to the counter the person who would be assisting me was sweeping the floor I’m patient don’t really mind waiting he noticed me walk in never acknowledged me, I never knew this would be the person assisting me until I asked another associate in the store around 6-8 mins later and he was beyond RUDE while taking my order another customer walks in he slides my card then throws it to side until the receipt prints I was like odd but ok then He throws my card to the opposite side of the counter never asks me to move to the side so he can assist the other customer then throws the receipt on the counter with a pen never said anything I was in shock then when I came back to grab my food instead of saying mam your food is ready anything he just starts pointing at a bag of food I was like sir you have the worst customer service ever and walked out I definitely won’t be...
