Chile Verde — Restaurant in Long Beach

Excellent customer service! The guy working behind the counter was very helpful in telling me which ingredients were included in a few select items and very polite. after ordering, my for was out promptly and I was offered selections between 3 different salsas. I opted for all 3. I got my food order to go and was home and ready to eat in about 5 minutes. I ordered 2 tostadas (taco salad at many other restaurants) Excellent value at about $12ea. Each contains a large floor tortilla taco shell containing beans,lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheese and your choice of protein. Both tostadas contained a generous portion of meat! Unfortunately the ground beef was really lacking any flavor or seasoning. The chile verde had big chunks of pork, and the sauce had a bit of a kick. What I didn't like was that the pork was very tough. it could have just been an off-day. Stopped by to check out. Overall this was very average food. Nothing bad but also not exceptional or outstanding. The carnitas wet burrito was meat, rice and beans. The rice and beans had a good flavor, the meat wasn't as flavorful as I'd like it. Delicious food and friendly service. Their tacos and enchiladas hit the spot for lunch! Portion sizes were generous, and I loved the flavor of the red sauce on my enchilada.
