Cityside Pizza Palace — Restaurant in Long Beach

Called to order the advertised $7.99 large 1 topping pizza. Employee says “that pizza comes with light cheese/sauce, if you want the regular amount of cheese/sauce you must ask for it and pay an up charge”

I was a bit confused and thought it was Strange way to sell a normal pizza , as the $7.99 pizza advertisement on the window doesn’t mention ‘lite’ cheese or sauce. Any way I said i wanted a normal amount cheese/sauce and was charged $15+. Took it home and turns out it had a lot of extra cheese and sauce. Therefore the 7.99 pizza was probably standard amount of toppings and i was just up sold.. I didn’t think this was very honest way of upselling a product and was a little bummed i paid 2x the price and didn’t get what i actually wanted.

The pizza was okay. Definitely way to much cheese. Maybe had i not ordered the extra cheese it would have been better. Service was okay aside from the scammy...

I don't know what up with this place but be aware of pizza Palace. If your not paying attention to them adding the total up on there over due 80s colculater,and no cash register or any up to date electronics they will charge u a ridiculous amount on the bill . For real . Then the guy in that back comes out and give u the catetel look . Like u gotta pay . I recommend staying away from pizza Palace. They look like there up to something like fraudulent transactions. There located in long Beach California. Don't get scammed get educated . Money is hard to earn ,not to loose it to a bunch of scam artist trying to sell cheap pizza. It will cost more then u bargain for . Not going...

We're staying in Best Western and saw the laminated menu, so we decided to try them. ~The spaghetti sauce could have more spice, but the layer of cheese on top tasted great. ~The large 3-topping pizza was a decent size for the price. It was hard to see the pepperoni and ham until you realize they're under a layer of more delicious cheese! ~The salad had some shredded Monterey Jack, a banana pepper, and sliced tomatoes, nothing special. ~The lesser-priced sandwich is for a 6" sub, decently stuffed and highly recommended (we ordered the Italian 😉).
