Chile Verde — Restaurant in Long Beach

Looking for some good tortas? In fact some of the best I've had in town? Well this place right here is the place for you. at first I was skeptical about this place because I thought it'd be to Americanized and perhaps most things would be too plain but I gave the torta a shot because I was craving one. My-oh-my that torta was so delicious. I may not know about the rest of the food but that was amazing. The staff is  friendly, the location is very clean and has a lot of parking surrounding it so that is always good. Unfortunately it seems their taco Tuesdays are still almost $2 for the hard shell tacos but  i wouldn't know about soft tacos. In regards to the pricing. $7+ for a torta is probably average for any torta anywhere so that is fine. The size off this torta will definitely give you our money's worth. I think that drinks are overpriced but I guess I can just get a drink at home or something. Would I come back? Definitely. I really had no idea how good people can be. I was eating close to closing time when a man (Harlin) walked in and stood at the counter patiently waiting. The girl behind the counter went into the back and handed him a broom and dust pan he thanked her and proceeded to go to work (he did not work there) this man threw me off guard. Last time I ate here the food was really really bad. I left it pretty much untouched. All I got was a bean rice and cheese burrito but i just couldn't stomach more than a few bites. The tortilla was undercooked and stale. The beans had a gray hue. No bueno. The salsa was good but what use was it? The service was good tho, nice employees.
