El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Long Beach

Been coming here for over 10 YEARS now, & it's one of my all-time favorite El Pollo Locos. Their food is ALWAYS simply fantastic (just can't beat FRESHLY made, & to your exact specifications), FRESH & SO DELICIOUS - that just the thought of it is making me drool! LOL. The folks who work there, especially the manager(s), are ALWAYS super nice & so VERY accommodating: & let me tell you, I am SUPER particularl as to what I want & just how I want it made (& they've NEVER been even slightly rude to me, which in itself should tell you a LOT). Entire place is always very clean, both inside & out, especially for the amount of trafic that they get. The handful of "issues" (be it they were out of an item altogether, needing to make more, or my order being assembled not as I've requested - the latter might have happened all of 2ce in 10 YEARS) that I have had there were not only promptly corrected, but with a smile, a free item "for my trouble", profusely apologizing the entire time. Thus I feel that some of the "reviews" which I've seen here are just patently UNtrue, & unfair: not getting "your way", or your order taken, at 5 MIN to OFFICIAL closing time is not JUST their fault, & I highly recommend "checking your order" no matter who you think you are, & regardless of where you go for service, ESPECIALLY if its during a rush hour. Are the Owners and managers instructing the workers, to rip off their customers, I have eaten at over a dozen El Pollo Loco and this restaurant, is the worst one of them all, because these mistakes happen multiple times.

Terrible service, Horrible preparation of my food, I ordered on the computer touch screen, so to not makes any mistakes when ordering, not only did they prepare my order wrong, it was incomplete, I order chips and cheese and creamy cilantro sauce, it was not in my bag, so they stolen my money, then they put onions in my Pollo bowl when I selected not to when ordering so I had to throw it away, because I'm allergic to onions, I paid for new shredded crunchy chicken taco, but found out it had to be substituted for somethin else, because they ran out of the shredded crunchy chicken taco, so I told them I will take the Taco Al Cabon which is cheaper and I did not receive any money back for my taco substitution for something more cheaper. My girlfriend and I ordered two taco combos of chicken carbone with each one containing three of their version of chicken tacos each of the three tacos were doubled white tortillas with mixed dark and white meat chicken just thrown on top of them, that was it for the tacos which were very dry, no cilantro, no salsa and no guacamole that came with it. Just dry tortillas with chicken meat thrown on top of them. The only thing they had that came with it was a teeny bag of tortilla chips and no mild salsa to dip them in. Every place should at least have mild salsa for starters. They had some very hot spicy green watery salsa that was overly spicy and the tacos didn't really smell too good either. We ate them anyway because we were hungry but never going to go back there again.
