This review is late, but itās been a long time comingā¦I remember sometime back in 2021, I had gone in to this establishment to try it out for the first time and for a quick coffee. The staff were a couple of people that looked to be in their early twenties (2 guys 1 girl). As soon as I walked in without a mask they told me I couldnāt come in without one. I said, no problem I just happened to drop mine on the floor and need a new one (true story - the drop made it dusty and sorta wet). I proceeded to politely ask if they had a spare that I could use. They immediately became rude, snarky, and told me that they didnāt give out masks and that I should be the one to bring it everywhere I go. They started looking at each other, whispering things, and laughingā¦giving that sort of āGet a load of this guyā behavior that you see with the pointing and the looks. Without me saying anything, they repeated themselves and said āwe donāt have masks for youā with a look that said, āGo away now.ā I was so taken aback by the poor customer service that I just stared blankly in disbelief for a moment and quietly walked out. Mind you, it was a courtesy for most businesses at the time to have spare masks just for those sort of instances, so I was really taken aback by just HOW bad the customer service was regarding their mask policy. Itās been years now, Im still a huge coffee lover and I still frequent the Gusto Bread spot literally right across the street from them, but instead of pairing Gustoās pan dolce with a coffee from coffee drunk I swerve them every time. I literally wait to come back to downtown where I stay to hit recreational coffee or literally anywhere else but this establishment. I hope they have or will learn how important customer service is for their business at any and all times whether pandemic or not. As a local, I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a loyal customer at Coffee Drunk on Atlantic ever since my household left Starbucks, believing we had found a better coffee experience. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, Iām starting to think we made the wrong choiceānot because of the coffee itself, but because of how customer service is handled.
I ordered three large Instigators, but the barista made them incorrectly. Instead of remaking the drinks properly, they just added more ice and milk, completely diluting the coffee. When I asked for a shot of coffee to fix the drink, I was told there would be an extra charge because the size was wrongāeven though the mistake wasnāt mine. There was no apology, no effort to make it right, just a dismissive response that left me feeling like my business didnāt matter.
Mistakes happen, but what really defines a place is how they handle them. Unfortunately, this experience showed me that customer satisfaction isnāt a priority here. Iāve supported this place for a long time, but after this, Iāll just take my business elsewhere to a coffee shop that values...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed a pick up order, never tried this place. I come in when it isn't that busy and literally no one acknowledged me, they're all busy socializing. Since it's my first time, I'm not aware there is a counter in the corner in which they place that their pick ups so I just stand by where they're giving people their drinks, still with zero acknowledgement. Finally have to flag someone down to tell them I placed an order 12 minutes ago. The person points to the small counter in the corner like everyone is supposed to know automatically what the system is here even though it isn't clearly marked. Maybe if y'all weren't too busy chatting one of you could have actually offered service. I shouldn't have to wave you guys down to get you to acknowledge me. Read the room.
Also can barely taste the espresso in my latte. So it wasn't even worth the wait or annoyance. I wanted a latte not cup of hot...
