In terms of flavor profile of the beans I have to say wow. The aromas really sing, I’m serious. If you’re a dark roast fan maybe not for you. The beans on espresso have been so damn delightful. They must have good connections and relationships with the coffee farming process because the quality overall is just outstanding.
Last time I went to visit I got a very specific drink — medium half caffeinated americano with steamed almond milk, and teaspoon of sugar and let me tell you... it disappeared in minutes. Perfect temperature of the water and the milk; it was nice and hot but not burned! That was impressive!!!!! The espresso creme stayed on top at every sip and the thick and silky almond milk did, too. The almond milk was surprisingly thick and creamy, no where even near watery. I usually get half and half but I need to cut down, fortunately I did not lose quality in doing so. I was even happier with the almond milk.
So many things stood out in my drink but again the most impressive was that the espresso bean aromas SANG!
Thank you and amazing...
Read moreI have been coming to this coffee shop for some time now. I guess I can be considered a somewhat regular. I don’t usually like to pull the discrimination card but after a few encounters with the blondish white guy, I can write this review with more assurance. I’m usually just in and out for the most part but I’ve noticed this guy has a complex. He’s come off very arrogant. Definitely has preferences for a certain “type” of demographic. And yes, I am a person of color who has experienced his weird energy. I’ve observed him switching up as soon as another certain type of demographic interacts with him. I’ve visited the other locations and have always felt welcome, at ease, and overall a way better vibe than the 4th street location due to that issue. Great coffee though. Just may have to stop visiting the 4th...
Read moreThis place is really cute (bright and airy, with hip decor), but it definitely has some kinks to work out. Stopped by here on a Sunday morning around 8:30ish for some coffee and pastries and it took an inordinate time for them to make two Americanos. Not sure what was going on, but the barista had to start over or something. Also, the other worker behind the counter were putting out the pastries onto these uncovered platters--not sure if they had covers for them but if they're sitting out there uncovered that could be potentially unsanitary. I wasn't too impressed with the coffee either; had that overly burnt taste to it that I generally associate...
