The manager at this place needs to retake Restaurant Management 101 down the street at CSULB. Arrived today Monday 1/8/18 at high noon and shop had two rows of specialty bagels totally empty, about 3/4 of the selections. When two types I asked for were out, they said they had already made everything they were going to make for the day. This was at noon, a busy time for people wanting bagels and coffee.
They had moved the order and pay stations and so I stood at the second counter where I have usually bought just a coffee and kept being passed by until I asked and to order the coffee at the "full order" station.Went to pour Dark and the canister was empty so moved to the cinnamon flavor next to it and it too was empty. The sugar bowl was no longer there and neither were the honey packets which have always been there before.
I asked to speak with the manager and was told the manager wasn't there. I sat there chatting with a friend over an hour and in all that time, the two empty coffee pots were never replaced. This place has all the classic signs of a mismanaged place that may soon go out of business. BIRTHDAY MONTH=BIRTHDAY COUPONS=HAPPY RODNEY
Free Egg Sandwich w/ purchase for Rewards members
Einstein Bros. Bagels, a bagel chain with several locations in Southern California, had a great birthday promo which I could not pass up.
Texas Brisket Signature Egg Sandwich- The most expensive egg sandwich, the Texas Brisket Sandwich consisted of cage-free eggs, smoked beef brisket, cheddar cheese & smoky chipotle aioli on a cheddar jalapeno gourmet bagel. The brisket was savory & tender. The jalapenos provided heat, enhanced by a few packets of Cholula hot sauce. Hearty, satisfying & delicious!
Twice Baked Hash Browns- Einstein Bros.' Twice Baked Hash Browns have a quiche-like texture. I didn't mind it. However, I did miss the crispy crunch of traditional fried hash browns.
Service was good. A sizable line was quickly being dispatched with, and the wait wasn't very long for my order to be ready. Ample interior seating, Einstein Bros. Bagels is located at the Farmer's & Merchants plaza, next to Spectrum.
Einstein Bros. Bagels offers a great birthday month promo to their Rewards Members. I thoroughly enjoyed their Texas Brisket Signature Egg Sandwich, and would forward to coming back and trying their various bagel & smear...
Read moreI arrived this morning and asked for a Baker's Dozen and asked if they had any Power Protein Bar and was told that they don't make them anymore. Hmm gotta upgrade the the website. This was gonna change my order big time. I asked for 4-Blueberry no problem there then asked for 2-Jalapeno Cheddar and was told that these weren't ready and no time was given to when they would be ready.I then asked for 2-Cinnamon Toast and 2-Six Cheese and no problem. I asked for 5-Onion Bagels to complete my order and was told that they weren't ready and that they wouldn't be ready for another 20 minutes. I wasn't gonna wait for them to be ready so I refused my order and walked out. This establishment opens at 5am supposedly give or take every morning but not to have at LEAST ONION BAGELS ready then theirs a problem here. I WILL NO LONGER RETURN BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS LIED TO ABOUT THEM DISCONTINUING MAKING THE POWER PROTEIN BAR!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Einstein's Bros. Bagel near the (TRAFFIC CIRCLE) because there I found ALL of my bagels to my picking including the POWER...
