Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Long Beach

Normally my reviews are positive reviews and showing my appreciation for the places i go to feed my hunger etc..but this time im going to have to give a semi-harsh review... Don't get me wrong i love Jersey Mikes!!! They have the best subs (not better than Monica's Deli!! 💯🤫) but when i recently went to this location on Willow in Long Beach i was a bit peeved by the fact that their were quite a few workers on shift and it wasn't super busy and they had a mess all over the counters. I get that its a sandwich place and all but it is easy to clean up after each sandwich made etc..again this place is great and the food is very tasty!! I just dislike the fact that watching a worker take off his dirty gloves and simply toss them balled up directly onto the counter behind him right on top of all the mess of condiments that looked like they were there all day prior to me even arriving. The sandwiches i bought that day (Tuna Sub and the #5 was bomb!!) and it wont hinder the fact that i will definitely without a doubt be back for subs sometime soon, but it did make me kind of double take and with having OCD caused me to focus on the messy counters and really close to asking one of the workers to please clean it up. Other than that i will say that aside from the unsightly mess the food and the Brand name are GREAT!! Their sandwiches are a good size and fill you up with half eaten. Their menu has hit sandwiches as well as cold ones and salads to, heck you can even make anything you order a combo!! Which is a must in my book and i do love the coupons they email me and the rewards points they have after you sign up!! (Even get bday coupons!!) over all food quality and taste it is definitely 5/5 !! I do recommend this location of Jersey Mikes to anyone who like subs sandwiches that...

I hate leaving reviews, and I never do, but this is just all bad. Food is good, but the staff look like they're just made up of kids right out of high school, and they're so terrible. You can just tell some of them don't want to be there. I saw 2 people standing around, and only one person was actually working. I was just standing there waiting for someone to take my order, while two of them were just having a conversation ignoring customers. And after my order was finally taken, they continued just standing around, talking for 5 more minutes before starting my order. While waiting for my order, more customers came in and got the same treatment. So I don't know who the owner is for this store, but you should reconsider hiring kids and get some adult...

A+ in customer service! As soon as i walked into the establishment i knew who owned the place, Ralph the manager, came and introduced himself with authentic caring energy and with pride in jersey mikes. I only came into look because i noticed it was new but the genuine and authentic energy and heart for service that i felt coming from the place made me want to support so i got in line and was so pleased that the energy didnt stop at the manger, eveyone was glad to be there and glad to SERVE. Service stands out. It was hust the Grand opening so i wish them success and hope they stay true to the energy i experienced at jersey...
