THE BAD: don't get the chicken and waffles. Iitterally boxed chicken tenders

We went for breakfast because of the good reviews, tried 3 different plates and can't say any of them were promising. Most of our meal was disappointing. I had to ask our server if the chicken and waffles were prepared in house because it tasted like chicken tenders out of a Costco box which would be ok if the price on this plate wasn't $19. Our server did confirm the chicken is not prepared in house.

Our server was very nice and friendly but she might need more training because she brought us a cappuccino that tasted like the remnants of a Keurig pod. I also asked if the hot chocolate was from a little packet I would rather have something else but she still brought me a hot chocolate.

The ambience is nice,dark, and cozy but the booths definitely need cleaning. We sat at the round Booth near the entrance by the window and it smells of old food, the seats sticky. There was gum on the floor under the table, which I stepped on. A parting gift if you will.

I LOVE their ordering and pay feature. You scan a barcode and open a tab. You can order and pay right from your phone. We were a large group-10 people so the great part was not having to figure out whose card we were going to use, zelleing all over gods green earth, who had what, etc. The only drawback is that we were all talking and some people ordered later than others so our food didn’t come out together but that was more on us. The breakfast food was beautifully plated and so good. I had the red velvet waffles, potatoes, cup of fruit and ABC juice (apple, beet, carrot) I shared everything and was still full. My bill was $41 with tip. The service was very friendly. They were able to accommodate our large group but I’m not sure I would recommend a large group because it’s a small restaurant. The parking was okay on Saturday morning. It’s free but that little street gets busy. I didn’t use the restroom so I don’t have comments about that. They are only open for breakfast then close at 11am and reopen later for Indian fusion food. I looked at a menu - and could smell the food. It smelled delicious. Will definitely...

Unfortunately this was the worst service we have had in years. It took about 15 min before we talked to our waitress. We had to ask for water. Then our waitress never came to take our order so we just did the phone ordering.

The ticket time was around 35 min and there were only 3 tables, in this time our waitress never came to check on us or apologized about the wait. Also, they forgot one dish and claimed it was canceled and our phone/order showed it wasn't. Then they forgot to bring a drink we ordered even after reminding them. Our food came before our silverware and had to ask multiple times for silverware.

We would have been ok about all of this if they just explained it was a short staff day or apologized but no one said anything.
