Speak Cheezy — Restaurant in Long Beach

My husband and I recently visited Speak Cheezy in Long Beach, expecting a dine-in experience. To our surprise, it operates more as a takeout spot with limited seating. We customized two pizzas—mine with pepperoni, pineapple, and sausage, and my husband's with pepperoni black olives,and anchovies. I initially wanted bacon and chicken, but they were out of both. Added items 2 bottles of coke and 6 chicken wings garlic parmesan the wings was disgusting raw and looks weird

The total bill came to $110, which caught me off guard. The base price per pizza starts at $25, with additional toppings ranging from $4 to $8. I added extra cheese, which alone was an $8 charge. On reviewing the receipt, I noticed an 18% gratuity had been added automatically. When I asked my husband if he had approved the tip, he said no—the staff simply presented a screen for him to sign. When I asked the employees about it, they explained it was standard practice.

We waited over 35 minutes for our order. When the pizzas arrived, mine had several slices with barely any cheese despite the extra cheese charge. When questioned, the staff insisted it was added. At that point, we simply took the food and left. My husband's pizza was burnt, and he said it was the worst he’s ever had. While I found mine just okay, it certainly wasn’t worth the price or the experience.

First time here…waiting for the moment to come try out their pizza and today was the day!! Thank you Nadia for your awesome CSR welcoming to your work place…ordered their Pepperoni with extra toppings to share with my loves were talking about mushrooms and onions and olives and it was delicious!! Their pizzas are all 1 size which is 14” four big slices but I asked to cut into smaller pieces for the girls so 8 and it was perfect…saw they also had birria pizza and couldn’t resist to order that to share with my loves at home! Now that came with shredded beef on top and you also get a spicy salsa and birria stew to dip your pizza into…like what??? Oh yeah this was like having delicious birria tacos but with sourdough instead of tortillas for me this was an amazing party in my mouth! So if you happen to come out to Long Beach head out 4th and Termino that’s where you’ll find them, parking available in the back plus you can order ahead by using Toast Takeout app to place order, didn’t get a chance to use app. Because Nadia was about to open so had the opportunity to walk in meet staff and ordered…this is how great friendships begin 💯🙌🌻come on down try them out...

I’ve read the reviews here, and some of them made me smile, so I decided to support one of the best pizzas in Long Beach. People complaining about “burnt edges” should take a trip to Italy and see what authentic pizza looks like—it’s all part of the experience! Others mention a lack of cheese, but that’s because they’re used to American pies loaded with cheese and salami. Speak Cheezy is all about the balance of flavors, and they use just the right amount of cheese to complement the other high-quality ingredients.

Take their LBC pizza, for example—oregano on whipped ricotta cheese. Or the salt flakes on the Brooklyn Bee pizza that add an extra layer of texture. It’s the attention to detail and thoughtful combinations like this that make Speak Cheezy stand out. People come here for the perfectly matched flavors, and it’s clear the chef has put in tremendous effort to create a menu we can all enjoy.
