Fajita omelette with egg white, sourdough toast. Side of banana nut pancake. Fresh lemonade.
Sourdough bread was toasted evenly without burning the edges much and the light spread of butter was different than the usual expected from cafes. I dislike toast drenched in butter which is why I usually ask for none, but had forgotten today. Glad it came with a light amount keeping the bread nice and crisp. There is an extra charge for peanut butter as they bring it out in a small bowl of what looks like 1/4 cup. I wouldn't necessarily use all of that by myself, but a group of four would be ideal.
Omelette is quite hearty and is definitely a meal on its own. Potatoes are a bit on the oily side, but it's marginal and quite acceptable to my taste. The fajita omelette consists of onions, green bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and a choice of chicken or beef. I chose chicken for mine. The chicken is slightly on the dry side, most likely due to the fact that it would have been pre made to prevent cross contamination. The veggies gave this a good balance of moisture.
Pancake is pretty good being packed with walnuts and banana then topped with more banana and whip cream. Whip cream is not the greatest, so I'd forego that the next time.
Fresh lemonade hits the spot and is quite refreshing to have with the meal.
Service here is friendly with a smile. The staff seem fairly happy working here. They come by to check on the meal every so often. I see them wiping and clearing tables quickly.
As for payment they accept only cash and check with a...
Read moreThe food was awful my omelette was not fully cooked it was extremely runny. My daughters food was decent she enjoyed the pancake however you can't really screw this up. The fruit that we ordered with our meals it was bad and a cantaloupe had gone bad and was soft and you can absolutely look at the watermelon and see the dark spots. My daughter speaking that came with her meal have a really bad seasoning it kind of taste like they put a chorizo seasoning on a strip of bacon. Who cuts chorizo seasoning or any seasoning on a child's piece of bacon for children's meal I just don't understand!? Service was OK the server seem to be nice except for when we went to check out. They also seem very annoyed when I asked for a wet cloth says that I could clean up the sticky syrup that was all over the table. The bill was out rages by the time for adults and one child had eight we ended up paying $52 and left her maybe a two dollar and 50 Cent it. I'm not sure how this place got so many good reviews I was looking forward to a good meal with my family. Instead I got a stomachache and a empty wallet. I don't think I'll be coming back to this place. I hope this review helps any people who are looking for a good place to eat that either that moved out of the area or just want to try something new. I miss...
Read moreThis place is right around the corner from me so I’ve been wanting to try it for awhile now. The food is good but the prices are great! There are so many expensive breakfast spots now that it was nice to see a place with some normal prices. My avocado toast was only $6 and the balsamic glaze was a nice touch. The service was nice and they were super attentive to refilling coffee.
The weird thing that happened was as we were being seated, my dad realized he forgot his wallet so he ran back to the car. Once we were taken inside, the hostess realized one person was gone and absolutely refused to seat us. She literally walked us out of the restaurant even when I explained my dad just ran to the car. When we got back outside, he was walking right back up so we turned around against and then were seated.
I 1000% understand COVID rules (and I really appreciated that only every other table was seated) and that they only want to seat entire parties, but that was absolutely ridiculous. If he had realized he forgot his wallet after we were seated would we have been walked out again? What if there had been an emergency and one person had to leave? Would we have all been asked to leave at that point. It truly put a sour taste in my mouth, but I will say that the experience after that incident was...
