Alright, let's dive into my experience at San & Wolves, a delightful Filipino-owned vegan restaurant tucked away in Long Beach. I was eager to see how they'd translate traditional Filipino flavors into a plant-based menu. First impressions were excellent. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, creating a comfortable space to explore their unique offerings. The menu is a fascinating blend of classic Filipino dishes and innovative vegan interpretations, with a strong focus on their impressive selection of breads and pastries. Let's talk about the stars of the show: their baked goods. San & Wolves has clearly mastered the art of vegan baking. Their ube-based creations are, without a doubt, some of the best I've encountered in Los Angeles. The texture is spot-on – soft, slightly chewy, and bursting with the distinctive, sweet notes of ube. It's evident that they use high-quality ingredients and possess a deep understanding of flavor profiles. However, the true revelation was their chocolate crinkle. As a connoisseur of this particular treat, I can confidently say it's exceptional. It evoked vivid memories of my favorite crinkles from Julie's Bakeshop in the Philippines, a nostalgic experience that speaks volumes about the authenticity of their recipe. The crackly exterior and the rich, fudgy interior created a perfect balance of textures and flavors. It's a must-try for any chocolate lover. To complement their delectable pastries, San & Wolves offers Barako coffee, a bold and robust brew that perfectly balances the sweetness of their baked goods. This thoughtful pairing demonstrates their commitment to providing a truly authentic Filipino culinary experience. Beyond the food, the service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. It's clear that San & Wolves is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Filipino culture and the versatility of vegan cuisine. In conclusion, San & Wolves is a culinary gem in Long Beach. Whether you're a vegan, a Filipino food enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates exceptional food, this restaurant is a must-visit. The quality of their baked goods, particularly their ube creations and chocolate crinkles, is truly outstanding. Highly recommended. Oh, dont forget to tap the walis tingting by the door.

If the early bird is guaranteed to catch the worm, bro you best get here early!! And when I say early, I mean relatively early AF! And if you're anything like Keesh 6/7am is too early!! Lol!! Staff says folk line up at 6/6:30am and the lines can get super long. I got there about 10:30ish and it was me and 3 others waiting but... No line equals minimum selection! Most of the goodies I wanted to try were long gone tho I did manage to wrangle an ube bun, pandal cake and some corn bread! Sidebar- Sans & Wolves, y'all owe me a Meyer lemon cornbread because I ordered that and you packed me up a plain Jane one lol! They were all yummy but I gotta say that Pandal cake was "Fire" (as my 17 year old would say lol) That bad boy got taken down in 2.3 seconds! The ube bun looks like a cinnamon roll but aside from the icing on top, the bottom isn't very sweet.. I forgot to say the coffee was also very good. I usually prefer a lot of sugar and milk plus 6 drops coffee but their Filipino coffee was actually good unsweetened. The Snackpacker in me concurs that I must return and try some other goodies!! I asked which day is the best to come if you're not an early riser and don't live in the LBC.. They told me, but I'm not gonna post that till after I'm able to go back and gather all the yummies that I need to try!

I love My city of Long Beach, therefore I LOVE TO SUPPORT mom & pop shops! This Filipino bakery was a spot I wanted to try since it had opened. This had been my second visit since the first visit I showed up at 11am and they had sold out of the items I wanted to try. I made it a point to come before they opened and early enough to beat the huge line that forms an hour before they open daily ! They opened nearly 10 min late and didn’t say hello nor apologize to the line that had been waiting for an hour before they opened their doors. I didn’t like that. No common curtesy at all. Then my patience really ran thin when I finally make it inside and it takes the young lady a whole literal minute to acknowledge us as she kicks a box and asks her brother whom is with another customer where he wanted his drink placed like whattt?? I was kind I was patient I even still tipped, I also did enjoy the I’ve pop tart I went back for bc they ran out my first visit but I wanted to share their pastries on my insta story and I messaged them constructive criticism and their response is the reason why I will not go and refrain my friends and family from going their id rather tell them to go to Cerritos for Filipino baked goods.

This place is over rated i guess it because there no over suger Donuts store that also serves cakes Within a 10 minute drive from here It would have been okay but their customer service is horrible to Some people I saw their bad attitude to people that don't look hipster enough If you look a certain way they can be a bitThey don't care attitude just buy what you want and leave if you look like you shouldn't even care on how what is in the food or those types it didn't happen to me I saw 2 people in Ahead of me and 1 person I think in the Behind the line of me But yeah the way that it looks at it's cool but the people that work there and think They're feeling themselves too muchI think they should be equal to everybody but I guess that's just some people if you're lucky then you don't have to worry but why should you give your business to people like that that they pick and choose the

By the way thank you for pointing out that my grammars Is improper It shows that you guys like to point out the imperfection of other people but thank you family oriented that's the whole point that I went there I bought a whole lot of Your pastries that I shouldn't Done thank you for pointing out that a lot of people shouldn't buy that much pastries in your place that it's not usual But yes I did buy a lot because I bought it for my friends and co-workers but I guess that was wrong right it...

My friend has been there every month and was so excited to snag us some pasties on her most recent trip.. spent $140 just to be disrespected by the guy working in the shop (I assume the owner, manager, etc). They were out of a few things so was instructed by another girl to call to see what we wanted to replace, while they were not busy mind you. I chose a fast replacement cus I had already seen the menu and was excited to try most things. The guy then proceeds to tell her with an attitude to go ahead and be more prepared next time and was disgruntled about her calling us. $140 for some bread — I told her if we had known the way they treated her we would have said skip it anyways. I love supporting local and especially different cultures but doesn’t mean you get to treat your patrons rudely. the ube pandesal had nothing on the ube pandesal at White Rice in San Diego. The pandan cake was mid, the pandan malasada filling was good but the bread didn’t do it for me, but the cornbread bibingka id get again if i was willing to give it another try (I likely will not, and will probably be less likely to recommend). The prices are OC prices, so steeper than you’d expect and not necessarily worth the hype. I’ll be honest, we had the pastries 24 hour later so definitely affected the freshness but after finding out the low level service I wouldn’t even bother going back and trying...
