They do not serve LAMB like the original Halal Guys in 9th avenue and 58th street in NYC. I buy food from this place because I miss the NYC food. The Long Beach Branch or Franchise is very stingy with the sauce. In NYC, they are very generous with the sauces of both white and hot sauce in big packets. Here in Long Beach, if you ask for a side of hot sauce, they are very stingy. First time, I ask for 3 packets (and they have small packets like the soy sauce in china restaurants), they gave me 2 packets. The second time I asked for 2 packets, they gave me one. I had a guest at one tine and did not know if he can handle hot foods, so I told the person serving if I can have the hot sauce on the side. I asked for 8 packets since I ordered 2 beef platters. He said sure, you will be charged 20 cents per packet. I said, sure I'll pay for it. I don't know why its free in NYC but not here. This happened yesterday Oct. 3 around 9pm. I guess this happens when you franchise and hire people that tries to impress you to promote them...

I get it now! Does halal mean bland? Because this place has no flavor! Bland doesn't even begin to describe it! The reason why I gave it two stars is because the girl that helped me the counter was really nice and very helpful, but hello guys is way overrated they won't even give you a whole pita-just little pieces of it. Way over-priced for what you get, what's more you have to pay with a credit card because they have no cash on hand-supposedly this is because of covid but everybody else manages to have cash, I guess they're the magical exception to the rule. Whatever! Trust me don't waste your time or money or your palate... If you want a really good suggestion go to Sababa in garden Grove. There you'll find what real Mediterranean food is like-let me just say AMAZING! Truly sababa is an absolute taste explosion in your mouth! A funky, fancy, fantastical party for your senses on all levels! Absolutely freaking amazing! Halal guys-yuck! Waste of $13! I know I've already eaten it (well part of it anyway) but can I get...

I remember I owe these guys a review because they did such a great job with my small catered order. I was looking for an establishment that would be able to take an order early enough and that would be able to be done preparing at noon. I had a small seminar that day to give to a local business, and remember they had asked for Halal.

The smell is undoubtedly the most noticeable thing in the area. The smell inside is even more amazing - it made me more hungry and I really wanted to start eating before I arrive at the destination.

Their prices are very reasonable, and their selection is simple, yet very filling, and theres always the right order for anyone. I had gotten 2-3 orders of every plate they had (and they have large plates). When i had brought it to my seminar, everyone loved the order, and even asked me where I ordered it from.

Parking isnt a problem - you will find plenty around, and their orders are ready on time for pick up. I ordered through the Yelp app, and they had it when...

I love coming here but tonight they did me dirty . I usually get alot of food on my regular platter with extra protein, I got one for me and one for my gf , I paid 29 bucks and felt ripped off for what they served me, skimpy with the white sauce and the chicken it looked like a regular plate with no extra ... when I was in NYC the plate was full of food what happened??? Are they not doing so well that they have to ration the food ?? I'm disappointed, next time I'm going to the other new location at Cerritos mall , since they are new they won't Skimp me out of my money thanks but no thanks . 😭 the picture shows how very little food they gave me..sad. so anyone who reads this I am not embellishing the review don't spend the extra money on the extra protein it's not worth it here , go to the Cerritos where they might not be rationing the food.

I had heard of Halal Guys for a while now, but finally got a chance to try their food. I visited this location during lunch hours, and the place was pretty crowded. I considered myself lucky to find a seat inside. My first impression was that the place was not the cleanest, and could use some attention in that regard. I tried their Chicken platter, with all of their toppings and white sauce. It looked delicious from the start, and the taste did not disappoint me. Their portion is generous, and it was only after I placed my order that I realized there was a smaller portion of their platter, which I should've ordered in the first place. The quality of the food is great, and the flavors and spices are amazing. I would definitely go back to try some of their other items.

Okay i feel like to many people i knew made this place seem amazing! Although i didnt hate it, i also didnt think it was amazing. The food is good exacly what you expect but the white sauce is a must try!!! The place has a franchise feeling and at 10 dollars a plate with no drink, its a bit expensive with a small portion. I only tried the plate im sure that theres other things that seem more economical on the menu but my meal lacked enough food to give me a really satisfied feeling. My favorite thing was the employee walking around in the small eating area with a bottle of sauce (whom i nicknamed the sauce boss) asking "ya want some sauce" probably the kindest weirdest thing that has ever happened to me in any fast food place.
