EDIT: I went back nearly a year after writing this review and contacting corporate. I’ve gone now three times just to make sure it wasn’t a one-off situation, but it is so much better now. There’s still security measures in place but they’re normal security measures compared to what was going on before. I can walk into the store without being “buzzed in” and waiting behind a rope to shop. There’s loss prevention at the front to welcome you in and check your receipt at the door and I feel like that’s normal and fair! I utilized the fitting rooms and was happy to see there were locks on the doors placed above where the original ones were taken out. The energy as a whole in the store feels a lot lighter and more welcoming, so I’m wondering if the management has changed or if they really got corrected by corporate. My original experience was so jarring that it’s refreshing to now have a shopping experience that reflects every other Ross store I’ve been to before I experienced this a year ago. I appreciate the fact that they took the criticism and did something about it, because for a moment there it was absurd and unenjoyable. I’m keeping my original review just to hold the store accountable in keeping these measures but wanted to update that they have made the NECESSARY changes, and thank you for that. original review: I really want to know what the point of this Ross being guarded like Fort Knox is, because nothing in this store has ever been that serious to undergo such a weird security measure. This isn’t a luxury store, mama — it’s thin, boneless .39 cents an hour type clothes with threads coming apart that you’re being charged 4x too much for these days. Being buzzed into a discount store by security as if I’m going to a dispensary is the most bizarre experience that I have only experienced at this particular Ross, and no other store in the area is built this way because this isn’t that kind of neighborhood to warrant having more security than you do staff to check people out or keep the place organized. Not to mention the time before my last visit, my friend and I were very obviously being followed by security the entire way around the store, which made us extremely uncomfortable, and it also wasn’t necessary by any means. We haven’t done a single thing to ever be profiled in such a way, we’re mindful, put things back correctly, and make our purchases, but god forbid we browse every section? Is that not the ideal customer experience? Is that what warranted the follow by Loss Prevention? The only thing you lost was my patronage. We live across the street and would come here as an excuse to get out of the house, and we SHOP here and pay MONEY here but now less and less because it’s just getting to be extremely uncomfortable every time. I only spent $2 that day because by the time the security followed us around in an entire circle around the store I was over it, made my one purchase, and left mad. At least be subtle, or have a reason to start following us in the first place. If you don’t want your customers to shop there, just say that. I’ll go to Marshalls across the street and at least be appreciated for shopping. But regardless of being profiled for virtually no reason, truly the most disturbing thing on top of all of this is the lack of privacy in the fitting rooms. For what reason on this earth should your fitting room doors not lock or a way to latch it closed? It feels like an extreme violation of privacy, and pretty darn inconvenient to have to hold my door closed if god forbid someone else is trying on clothes in the room too. And get this! It’s not just ONE broken fitting room door, it was an intentional choice by the management considering I checked at least four stalls with no latch on the doors to close them before I realized, this store is just not built with customers in mind AT ALL! Extremely uncomfortable experience. Does corporate know about this hot mess of a store or how it’s run? If they don’t, they will now.

I can't say enough about this store...except I pray they never close or go out of business. Lol. I love this place but I must say I wish I was a shopper for them because most times I find what I want even if I have to piece something together now I do have photos of somethings I have put together but some of those granny and prom dresses they have is not it and I would like to see more of the dresses that are at least knee length not down to the floor, a variety of jumpsuits and more dressy casual dresses. I'm just saying but again, I love the store they usually have everything I need from the outfit, shoes, jewelry, handbag, perfume, luggage I could go on lol. It's truly a one stop shop you may have to go through a few racks but if you got time it's so worth it. So go!! Right now they have every swimsuit and wrap around be summer cute at the beach ladies🤗 I have a few favorite ones I like to shop at. Las Coyote Traffic Circle California and Spring street there's another one near the Pike forgot the street but it's near Denny's off of Long Beach Blvd. Pics below all from Ross!!! They should make me a Ross Ambassador lol!!! Enjoy the review.

Horrible experience!!!! After finding this jacket tagged $6.99 I went up to the cashier to pay for it, stoked to have found it for an amazing price, after all I’m at Ross “dress for less”, but to my surprise the cashier would not sell it to me as she found it to be to low of a price for a jacket, she eventually called her manager “RAY” and stated he wasn’t going to be able to sell it to me because the price was too low and that their people made a mistake a put the wrong tag… I understand mistakes happen, but that responsibility falls on the store, not the customer. If you put a price on an item, you should honor it. Very disappointing experience, and I left without the jacket.

I like shopping at ross and this one is one of the closest one near my house but everytime i come here with my mom lost prevention is always around the corner pretending to fix the things around the area. if we stood in one aisle too long they would walk behind us and then walk back to their front post... complained to a worker and they said its part of policy....-- ive been to other rosses and i never felt so uncomfortable to shop. 11/23/18 3pm-4pm i went to this ross with my parents to look at kitchen utensils located at the back of the store i guess we stood there too long so lost provention walked by us and after he did he whispered " clear " to his other buddy in the front of the store. after looking at the utensils we went to the check out line to pay for our items ( as we always do --) and my mother and i were looking at the cups/mugs that are located next to the line. and when i looked behind us there was that lost prevention guy in the corner of an aisle checking on us AGAIN. there are so many shoppers at ross cause of black friday and both guys followed us around the store....will not be coming to this location ever again.

Ive been shopping here with my mom for 3-4 years and this is a recurring problem here at this location . I just wanted to shop here peacefully with my parents but this is just creepy and harrassment from this...

0 Stars, Chris the manager and Max the cashier were extremely rude to me when I was returning an item. I had to tell the manager, don't talk to me that way, because he was making a scene screaming at me and I wasn't going to tolerate him taking his fustration out on me. It's not my fault that he had to work on a Sunday and the store was crowed. I had to tell him to lower his voice. I didn't have the receipt for two of the items I was returning and I know Ross return policy. They wanted to give me credit of $2.49 for an item that I paid $15.99. I asked why if that same dress is on the first rack for regular price? That's when he started screaming at me the return policy and I stopped him and told him, I know it. But the dress is not on clearance, you're selling it at regular price. All the cashiers where rude to all the customers, they're following their MANAGER CHRIS RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL WAY. I SAW the SAME mistreatment to two other customers by CHRIS THE MANGER!!!! I spend lots and lots of money at Ross ..... but believe me..... my family and I will never set foot at this store again!!!!

Worst experience...
