Summary: 🌶️ Aromatic seduction meets productivity heaven. 🌶️
I came to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Long Beach expecting a quick caffeine fix. I left spiritually rearranged.
The hot chai latte with oat milk? My God. This wasn’t a drink — it was foreplay. The steam alone smelled like cinnamon had just whispered a secret into my soul. Velvety, spiced silk slid down my throat with just the right amount of heat. The oat milk didn’t just blend — it cradled the spices, turning every sip into an intimate, almost inappropriate encounter with autumn. I blushed.
Then came the toasted turkey pesto sandwich. Crispy on the outside, warm and tender on the inside — just like the kind of emotional support we all deserve. The melted cheese stretched in slow, sensual strands, refusing to let go. The turkey? Moist (don’t make that face, you know the word fits), savory, and embraced by a rich, garlicky pesto that tasted like someone’s Nonna poured love into a blender.
I was supposed to work, but the food romance distracted me for a solid twenty minutes. When I finally opened my laptop, the gentle hum of background conversation, espresso machines hissing like seductive serpents, and Top 40 songs serenading overhead created the perfect ambient foreplay for focus.
Bottom line: if you’re trying to write your novel, finish that spreadsheet, or just have a deeply emotional affair with a sandwich — this...
Read moreI come in pretty often since it's right around the corner from where I live and the staff here is pretty unusually heartless and cruel. They keep a sign over the bathroom door 24/7 that says it's closed for cleaning and refuse access to anyone that comes in with a backpack regardless if they are a paying customer or not but then gives the code to anyone else. I watch them time and time again give out free water and cups of ice to individuals unless they look homeless then it's 25 cents a cup even if they are buying other items. Employees constantly ignore customers waiting at the register and pretend they don't exist as they continue on with their conversations and they'll even step right outside and light up a cigarette right next to the entrance so that their smoke drifts right into the faces of customers sitting outside. The floors are never swept and you can see trac marks on the arms of one of the employees. I sure hope I don't contract hepatitis c here with junkies behind the counter. I'd recommend the Starbucks just a...
Read moreI have been coming here for about 6 months. Its a great place and customer service good. Today 5/26/20 @ 11:15 am service was not good. I did a mobile order. On my side it shows in process and then order ready. I walked in to get my drinks since my phone show order ready. I saw some drinks on the counter and wanted to see the names. Right away the barista turns around and said what do you need. Not even a "can I help you". I'm here for my drinks and the barista said it's not ready but my phone show ready. So I'm there for a minute. A man in a wheelchair was trying to order but since he wasn't ready to order barista told him in a rude, frustrated voice to go outside and when he's ready to come back in. I believe that barista could show more customer service when talking to a customer and giving direction according to coffee bean policy. Barista looks like a good worker but lacking...
