Blue Fig Cafe is a hidden gem that never fails to delight. Every visit is a mini escape from the everyday rush—a place where exquisite flavor, carefully prepared coffee, and a warm atmosphere combine to create something truly special.

From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by a cozy, artful ambiance that blends modern elegance with rustic charm. The attention to detail is evident everywhere: from the soft lighting that invites you to linger, to the tasteful decor that makes you feel right at home. Whether I’m meeting a friend for a casual catch-up or finding a quiet corner to work, the environment is both inspiring and comforting.

Each beverage is crafted with care, combining quality ingredients and creative twists to elevate even the simplest of items. I’m particularly fond of the avocado toast—a perfect balance of freshness and flavor—and the artisanal coffee, which is lovingly prepared to offer a truly memorable experience. The quality, warmth, and innovation behind every offering make each visit something to look forward to.

What truly makes Blue Fig Cafe amazing is the genuine hospitality. The staff’s friendly, attentive service turns a simple cafe visit into an experience that feels personal and uplifting. The care and passion they put into every detail are palpable, creating a space where every moment is savored.

In short, Blue Fig Cafe isn’t just another cafe—it’s a destination that nourishes both the body and the spirit. Every visit reaffirms why I love coming back...

I met a friend here about a month ago. But before I go on, I want to preface that I'm not a big coffee drinker. In fact, if I'm gonna be totally honest, I really don't like coffee. I'll drink a mocha with oat milk and an extra shot of chocolate to overwhelm the coffee flavor and will do it hot or cold. I'll get a hot apple cider if a place has it or a good hot cup of hot chocolate.

Blu Fig is nestled in the tiny Mill Shops in Long Grove. The main parking lot is already inadequate to handle everything here especially Joanie's Pizza and Broken Earth Winery. However, Blu Fig is a nice addition. The small coffee shop is on the corner when you first pull into the lot and its windows and entryway face inward to the parking area and not out onto one of the two main roads in downtown Long Grove.

I arrived after my friend and ordered what I mentioned above and asked for a piece of lemon cake (pound cake).

To say that both were delicious is an understatement. The mocha was made with love. Not just because they put a heart in the foam on top, but it tasted that way. They took their time perfecting my cup o'mocha and brought it to me in a to go cup with the top off to showcase their heart. The pastry was delicious and is sourced from the bakery a few doors down.

It's a quaint spot with 15-20 seats. The owners (a couple) pour their heart and soul into Blu Fig and you can certainly tell. Wi-fi is available and is a great nook for reading, working, meeting friends, and to start or...

A hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts!

I stumbled upon this charming coffee shop when Long Grove had their most recent hot chocolate festival. I didn't even know it existed because it's a bit tucked away (right under the Broken Earth Winery). It has quickly become my go-to spot for a delightful and unique coffee shop experience. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of fresh coffee and the warm smiles of the staff.

The lattes here are a true masterpiece—rich, creamy, and expertly crafted. The baristas seem to have perfected the art of creating the perfect balance between espresso and velvety steamed milk. Pairing the lattes with their selection of pastries is an absolute treat. The Nutella croissant with strawberries and bananas is perfection!

The friendly and attentive service adds a personal touch to the entire experience. The owner is often seen engaging with customers, making you feel like a welcomed regular from your very first visit.

Whether you're looking for a French cafe vibe while you work or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this coffee shop strikes the ideal balance. It's a hidden gem that combines exceptional beverages, mouthwatering pastries, and a genuinely friendly environment. I highly recommend giving it a try; you might just find your new favorite coffee haven. Wishing you much...

My son and I were looking for a quiet place to sit and talk (and enjoy a cup of coffee), and found ourselves at Blu Fig in Long Grove, IL. This hidden gem is nestled in the bottom floor of a converted old mill near the center of town. The vibe was laid back, the music light and there were a number of conversations ongoing when we entered. There is room for ~16-20 in a cute café setting. We were immediately and warmly welcomed. A gentleman made us feel at-home as if we had been long time regulars. My son ordered the raspberry hibiscus tea and I selected a large hot mocha. After ordering, we found a couple of comfy chairs near the window and just enjoyed ourselves. A few minutes later a young lady brought our prepared drinks over to our table. This was inspected but after observing this seemed to be a part of the experience. Both drinks were made to correct temperatures respectively. My son really enjoyed the hibiscus tea, and I the mocha. It was steamed to a lower temperature which allowed me to enjoy it almost immediately. Blu Fig is just a great little café for you to lose yourself in for an hour…or more.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Blue Fig Cafe is such a nice hidden gem! It’s on the smaller side, but the atmosphere is cozy, and their outdoor seating is perfect when the weather’s nice. The food and drinks were excellent—super fresh, flavorful, and well put together. Here’s what we tried: • Plant Power ($11.00) – Toasted rustic Italian bread loaded with hummus, cucumber, tomato, pickled red onion, pepperoncini, power greens, and sesame crunch. So satisfying and full of flavor! • Croissant with Nutella, Strawberries & Banana ($7.50) – Decadent and delicious; the perfect sweet treat. • Vibrant Smoothie ($9.00) – Strawberries, banana, coconut milk; light and refreshing. • Awaken Smoothie ($9.75) – Espresso blended with strawberries, banana, dates, and almond milk. Unique and energizing! • Iced Latte ($6.65) with oat milk (+$0.90) and honey (+$0.75) – Smooth, balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness. The only downside is parking—it can be a little challenging—but it’s worth the effort. I’ll definitely be back!
