The decor at Long Grove Confectionery alone is worth coming in for a quick walk through. As you descend the short flight of stairs and open to door, it almost seems like you are walking into a secret hideout, filled with colors and candies. It's almost a whimsical, fairy tale like experience.

The shop is not huge, and during the summer, does get crowded out quickly. The free samples are always delicious and my personal favorites are the various flavored truffles. the long grove confectionery has always been a wonderful experience for me. the staff has always been extremely helpful, nice, and informational. they always know what's going on in this busy town, along with knowing the history as well. the chocolates and candies are reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious. i always love seeing all the "vintage and old fashioned" gums and hard candies. the apple haus baked goods are TO DIE FOR. whenever i stop in, my family begs me to take the donuts, apple bread, and pie home. the long grove confectionery is my favorite...

I have no idea why it's so highly reviewed. I don't know if the original owners sold out, or what, but the location they're in now is awful. The service was fine, but the selection is so small compared to what it was. I didn't even see strawberries available. That's what they used to be known for. There is nothing made in location that I saw, and it definitely lacks any of the charm of the old spot. Incredibly disappointed in what's become of this place.
