Went tonight with my 8yr old son and had the worst experience. Arrived 5 min before opening, was the 5th group seated, only group with a child. This is not a family friendly restaurant at all! He ordered milk to drink and when he wanted a refill we were told his one and only cup was the only milk they had to serve for the whole night. What? How? How are you not fully stocked of one of the few options of beverages for a child. My sons fries with his kids meal were also stone cold and hard. As far as the restaurant goes it is incredibly small inside and the tables are WAY too close together. My chair kept getting bumped into and I'm a tiny person with my chair pulled all the way into the table. Got a papercut on my thigh from the paper table cloths they use as well. Had to wait forever for bread as we were told multiple times "it's in the oven." Food came before the bread ever did. How are we one of the first people there upon opening and yall aren't prepared for guests or properly stocked? Horrible experience and this was like a 35 min drive for us from home too. Was hoping for the best but got the worst. Would not...
Read moreExcellent Restaurant. What a gem tucked into a small town. We have eaten there at least monthly since they opened and have never had a bad experience. The excellence starts at the front door with a prompt greeting and continues on with personable servers that are very knowledgeable about the menu. The owner, Tony, is typically nearby and has consistently asked us how our food and experience was. It is obvious that Tony cares about his restaurant and each and every one of his customers. In addition to the staff and ambiance, the food is excellent. I love the Baked Strozzapreti but I also thoroughly enjoy the Spaghetti and Meatballs, Chicken Parmigiana, Pizza, Ravioli, Pork Picatta, Tenderloin, Salmon, oh heck, it's all wonderful. The menu is not confusingly large but there genuinely is something for everyone at Primo. Even the happy hour cheeseburger is cravable. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Go there, order a bottle of wine or cocktail and enjoy your evening. You won't regret...
Read moreWe live in the neighborhood and have been regulars at Primo since it opened. We are seasonal residents but always look forward to our return to the comfort and collegiality of the bar at Happy Hour.
We were so looking forward to one of our favorites, the signature Hot Italian sandwich. We were so disappointed by the sandwich that we were served tonight. It bore no resemblance to the sandwiches we have had in the past. A smallish, barely toasted bun with one undercooked Italian sausage patty and a few shards of dried Italian meats and a smattering of cheese.
Consistency in customer experience is critical and although the service was exemplary and the atmosphere, as always, serene , the sandwich was mediocre, at best. I have had better Italian sandwiches at Potbelly.
You are better than this Primo. Please DO better. We love having a reliably...
