First, let me say that I'm an Italian American Jersey girl who has been complaining about the pizza in Colorado since we moved here eight years ago. (I'm happy we moved to this beautiful state for a list of reasons; it's just difficult to be surrounded by Italian American culture, including the incredible food, most of your life and then relocate to a place where that culture doesn't exist.) I can honestly say this place shocked me. I was expecting to be disappointed because I've tried so many pizza spots in CO with good reviews only to be like "mehhhh." The Colors of Italy pie is what really wowed me. It's SO flavorful with all the toppings, and the big dollops of sauce are one of the best parts of the pie (sweet with a little kick of spice)! My husband got a traditional NY cheese pizza, and it was good (on par with Rosalee's but with better crust). However, the specialty pie with its pesto, ricotta, basil, etc... OMG, so good! I can't wait to try some of the other pies (and will gladly take recommendations based on this review lol). We just discovered this place on Christmas Eve and already went back on New Year's for more delicious pizza, admittedly with hopes of running into the owner. I want to say thank you for bringing a piece of home to Colorado and for representing so well! 🇮🇹 Also, for those complaining about the price... Antonio's is no more expensive than any other pizza restaurant in downtown Longmont, and more importantly, this is what you pay for higher quality ingredients. I'd much rather pay on the higher-end-of-average prices for an amazing pizza than on the lower-end-of-average prices for greasy, flavorless nonsense. THANK YOU AGAIN! 🍕❤️

My Bride, the youngest and I were in town for no real reason other than to take a break from the property. Around 3 p.m. on a Friday, we decided to switch things up from our usual “Friday Night Pizza” routine and stop by Antonio's for an early dinner. Our recently minted "teen" was in a mood, but my bride decided on a Detroit style pizza with meatballs, mushrooms, and ricotta cheese. The youngun' eventually added the garlic knots. I was just happy to be eating because of a small breakfast and no lunch, the kind of pizza didn’t even matter to me at that point! I totally forgot to snap a picture of the garlic knots, well, except for the very last one! Trust me, they were fantastic—buttery, slightly crispy on the outside, warm and chewy on the inside. We dipped them in marinara, and they hit the spot. The pizza arrived, and it was HUGE. I didn’t weigh it, but I’d guess it was at least 5 pounds. My Bride took a corner, I and the youngun' took on the middle. Both the the youngun' and my Bride were very happy. Personally, I thought the part closest to the middle was a little doughy, not raw, just a bit different from my usual preference. But it was still super tasty. The youngun's slice looked the same as mine, but he enjoyed it. My Bride’s slice seemed a bit airier than mine. She offered me a bite, and honestly, it was near perfect. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The staff was friendly, so were other customers, the food was delicious, and ordering was a breeze. Would've been nice to have a brew with the pizza, but hey, I can get that anywhere. We’ll definitely be back!

We love Antonio's! I'm in NYC about once a month for work, and this pizza is at least as good as the slices I've had in Manhattan (and better than many). They had 5 pizzas ready in the case, 3 NY style and 2 Sicilian style. I got the NY pepperoni, and hubs got Sicilian pepperoni with peppers and onions. Both were excellent. They use the kind of pepperonis we like, the small ones that get curly in the oven. The desserts (cookies, Italian rainbow cake, etc.) look fantastic, so we'll have to try those another time. My only complaint is that the canolis are already filled - I only get them if they're filled to order, otherwise they lose much of their crispness. To the reviewer who got cold pizza - my guess is that was an unfortunate fluke. Keeping pizza in an unheated case is absolutely standard for NYC pizzerias. If you kept them in a warming oven of some kind, they would dry out so fast, especially in Colorado. The mini ovens they use to reheat the pizza "aren't pizza ovens", but they look like they are specifically designed to reheat pizza quickly and easily. Our slices came out too hot to eat (in the best way). Also, good ricotta can be slightly yellowish due to using high quality, grass fed cow's milk. My guess is that they're not buying BS pure white ricotta, because they know what they're doing!

Issues with Slices We were happy to see this cool new pizza parlor open up on Main Street in Longmont. For a long time, we've needed a solid pizza joint that provides quality slices in a casual atmosphere when we don't want to pay premium prices for some of the delicious upscale pizza establishments on S. Main St. We've been missing something like Cosmos in Boulder, where you can get a big tasty slice on the fly without having to order a whole pie or break the bank. We're hoping that, with some adjustments, Antonio's can fill this niche!

So last weekend I went to Antonio's Real NY Pizza with my 8yo daughter and her friend on the way back from swimming at the Longmont Rec Center. We ordered two slices of cheese (one each for the girls), and I got a NY slice of pepperoni and a Sicilian pepperoni slice. The service was warm and helpful. The pepperoni slices were good and the price is right. I'd get them again.

But here's the issue. When the server put the cheese slices down in front of the kiddos, the two cheese slices were dramatically different sizes. We all looked at the slices confused because one of them was literally twice the size of the other slice. And, on balance, the sizes of slices aren't generous to begin with. So the kids just sat there silent and flummoxed for a moment, all of us wondering what we were looking at (was it one slice with a cut in it or two totally different sized slices and if so, what gives?), and I scrambled to think of how I was going to negotiate this.

Luckily, one of the girls wasn't very hungry, so she asked for the very small slice. Any parent knows that you can't do that to kids. They're very discriminating when it comes to size and portions, and I felt I caught a lucky break on this occasion. But the bigger problem is that, on balance, the slices are too small and the sizing is inconsistent. That never happened to me at the NY pizza parlors I visited in Manhattan on late nights. True NY slices are often a meal unto themselves. Also, on our slices the cheese was more crispy than melted, so maybe we got slices that were sitting for too long and then got overcooked in the reheat?

So, we're not throwing in the towel here at all and we're grateful for this new local pizza parlor in Longmont, but we're hoping they can live up to their name and deliver some more generous and cheesy manhattan-style slices!

Note: Although the server was warm, I'm knocking off points because, as a former server myself, it felt weird to me that she didn't catch or respond to the size discrepancy when she put it down in front of the kiddos. There was definitely an awkward pause there, like she knew that...

Update: The owner is trying to critique me as a person with his response, instead of answering for the poor showing of his food. I guess that shows what kind of person he is and another reason not to patronize his establishment. You seem to be the kind of person, that if I put my real name on things, you'd troll, me, stalk me and do other maniacal things, that seems to be the norm for people responding as you do.

For the record, I'm a 30+-year-old, Brooklyn native. I know pizza. I know good pizza. Yours wouldn't hold up to the worst NYC has to offer.

And if you're going to try and quote me, actually quote me. I didn't call the margherita "sloppy." The crust and pizza was soggy.

I'll stand by giving the service 5 stars even after the owners response. However, the owner gets 0.

Original Review: Another "real New York" pizza place disappointment.

After seeing the images, I got my hopes up a bit, only to be let down once again, after trying it.

The service was great, top notch. 5/5 stars without a doubt.

The pizza and garlic knots we ate, not so much. The only reason I gave the food 2 stars, was for the crust, that was actually really good. Specifically, the crust on the plain cheese slices.

We each got 2 slices, 1 plain cheese and 1 margherita. The cheese slice was off, I couldn't pinpoint the flavor, but something didn't fit giving it a funny taste, not bad or spoiled, the flavor just didn't go with it. The margarita slice was completely different, the crust was all flop, it had no rigidity to it and pretty much fell apart. The sauce was also different, very sweet. It was probably the better of the 2 slices, but not by much.

The garlic knots were also a big miss. First, the shape, they were not "knots," they looked like little pieces of dough. The first one I ate was all mushy, like it wasn't cooked enough. The other couple I had, were extremely hard. The sauce was also bathed in cheese, which didn't...

This place makes good pizza and ill still come here but i wanted to write this for feedback sake. I dont really like giving it a three star review, but i made pretty large order for a birthday party and there ordering system wont let me place a specific pick up time. So after making the order I phoned in to ask if they could change the pick up time to later. I did this because the party was later and at other pizza places they like to know in advance for larger orders so they can prepare etc. Anyways the person on the phone said he would change it on there end. So i thought we were all good. Nope, we got a text about 20 min later saying the pizza was ready. I called again and they said, oh no sorry, we messed that up and will remake your pizza and have it ready when you get here at the later time we discussed. Cool, i felt bad but that was fine with me. Then when i arrived later they hadnt made ANY of the pizzas i ordered for the party. They said sorry there was a miscommunication. ??? I called twice and discussed the issue two times. So they basically made the same mistake two times in a row, telling me on the phone one thing and then doing another thing. So now im waiting for the pizzas to be cooked and i am late to my sons 2nd birthday party, which sucks. The, i think, manager came out and said it was his fault and he takes responsibility, then he offered me bagels. I dont need bagels and he said they have some desserts, i just said ok if you want to throw those in that is fine, but im going to a party. We have cake, i dont need bagels or cannolis. It felt like a weird gesture. Would have preferred a discount on the order. I acknowledge that he did try to do something and again the pizza is usually...
