The set up is a bit confusing as this and Mana are the same thing. Same base sauces, all of which are vegan, and to which a wide variety of proteins, vegan and not, can be added. Dine in is very limited (one table in, 2 out). Given that many (most?) Thai sauces use fish sauce or shrimp paste, a huge number of vegan Thai sauces aren't rounded out properly, and taste like poor approximations of the real thing. This is very much not the case here. Ordered an initial dish to eat outside there. It was so good that 1/3 of the way through I ordered another to take with me for my dinner. That was so good that I was planning on coming back on my through town 2 days later (Sunday). Unfortunately they are closed on Sundays, so I waited around an extra hour on Sat to get 2 more to go dishes. Both of those were so delicious that I would go an hour out of my way tomorrow to get more, but unfortunately Wednesday is the other day they are closed. Super impressed. Easily the best Thai takeaway spot I've been to, and a very serious contender for best SE Asian...
Read moreThis place was quite good. It wasn't amazing or life changing. But it was one of the better vegan thai experiences I've had, very good overall, and they didn't make any common mistakes like underseasoning the noodles, and the pad see ewe had roasted brocolli instead of just raw thrown in with a light stir fry.It was roasted and flavorful; they offered jackfruit and seitan, but I just got the tofu. If I lived in the area, I'd be a regular. It was a nice simple menu, where you know they probably make these few because they're really good at it -- but still a lot of variety. Some area for improvement with the cream cheese wontons -- they were still good, but the kind of dish depends on the cream cheese and it exploded and was all gooey. I probably should have ordered a salad or something more interesting. The mango dish is nice. I wish I asked whether the lycees were fresh and may have ordered that instead. Talked to the guy at the counter and he was nice enough to throw in some extra food too, since it was close to closing. Solid,...
Read moreEasily the BEST Asian option in Longmont (and probably the whole Boulder metro area)! I'm a strict vegetarian, and it's refreshing to be able to order anything on the menu -- most dishes also have a gluten-free option! My spouse (not vegetarian, professional cook) says it's his favorite, too. The food is always fresh, and Vegan Thai will happily accommodate a wide range of special requests. Everything is wonderful so we usually order way too much and enjoy the leftovers for a couple of days. All of the salads are delicious, with the Burmese tea leaf salad as the stand out. We seriously order from here 3 to 4 times a month, and if you're considering it, I can't recommend them highly enough! Thanks so much, Vegan Thai! We are so happy you're here...
