We went on a Wednesday, and it wasn't too crowded. We didn't use the bike skills park, but it looked fun. We hung out on the beach and in the water. We brought average swimming pool inflatable rafts, which were just fine. The water was shallow everywhere. My newly 4 year old was fine doing the man-made rapids in her own, with her puddle jumper. We brought toys to play on the beach, but it was not very sandy... more rocky. But they enjoyed it. There were lots of big boulders to sit on, but zero shade close to the water. Read moreThis is a cute park. There is a large grassy area to set up a tent or a large umbrella. There is no shade close to the water, but there is a few pavilions closer to the parking area. The beach near the stream is a great place for kids to cool down and play in the water. The water is not too deep and is good for a toddler to walk around and play in if they are water safe.
