Came by to check out this new spot in downtown Longmont. Loved the vibe, decor & staff. Everyone was super nice and helpful. They forgot to avocado add-on to my daughters sandwich (not their fault, something wrong with the ticket system), and they were very apologetic and willing to fix it right away. They gave us a free pastry to make up for it, which was very sweet since they didn't have to do that. There is plenty of seating inside but also some outside which will be great for those sunny days. There's a variety of pastries. We tried the blueberry cake, which was awesome. Loved that the batter had some of the blueberry blended in and not just suspended in the batter. You can really taste the blueberry throughout, and the crust on it was phenomenal. The chocolate croissant was on point. Flaky, buttery, and just enough chocolate inside. They do sell out, so stop by early to try one. The sourdough on the sandwiches was great. I tried the pastrami, egg & cheese, SO GOOD. For all the pastrami lovers out there, it hit all the salty, fatty, goodness you crave from pastrami. The sourdough chicken sausage, egg & cheese was good, but it was very oily. The egg was only in the center, so the ends were just sausage & and cheese, which will be all fatty texture wise and oily on the palate. It tasted good, but just a heads up on that. We had a Carmel latte & a latte with their house made Vanilla Brown Sugar syrup. Both of the lattes were good, the temp was good, the coffee was strong, very cute design was on the top. The flavors were hard to distinguish. My daughter said her latte didn't taste like it had any caramel flavor in it at all. My latte flavor was also on the very light side. I could taste the brown sugar, but the vanilla was lost. Would love some stronger flavors. Overall, great spot. We hung out for a while....

We went back to give it a second try. Immediately upon entry the barista greeted us and we were helped immediately once we got to the counter. Once again we got the coffee (I very much enjoy the homemade vanilla syrup latte) and skipped the bakery items this time. We enjoyed our drinks and the general atmosphere was much better- great music playing, friendly encounters with the staff. Spoke with the manager (Mike?) and they discontinued the unappealing croissant we had the first visit. Seems like they’re taking reviews into account and making swift changes. We will be coming back!
PREVIOUS REVIEW: So much potential and I was let down by our experience yesterday. Pros: coffee w/ house made syrup was solid, cool vibe and great seating arrangement. The barista made a cool heart in the espresso.
Cons: Ordered the croissant of the day for $8. It was cold, hard, and no flavor. Tasted like a day-old in all the worst ways. The three things a croissant should never be and unforgivable for a bakery. I threw it away, and I never do that. The echoey ambiance of the room, and overflow of management staff standing in the back, staring customers down was tremendously off-putting. Lastly, waited alone in line for several minutes without interaction at all from staff (besides the weird staring from management)- a great coffee shop starts with a basic hello or an acknowledgment of your presence and could be the difference in making this place more appealing.
I really want this business to succeed & bring more activity to downtown so I hope my experience was an anomaly. Looks like the only bad reviews also came from yesterday…. definitely check this place out and see for yourself. Maybe try something other than the...
