I believe the staff is underpaid.
I went and mentioned if "coffee" goes up another $1 that I will just use my machine at home. Noticed the baristas discomfort and decided to engage her to smooth it over. Asked her her thoughts "Well, they have to go up to pay employees..."...
I immediately noticing her defensiveness and taking it personally, explained that "I was talking about the coffee not the businesses" and she snapped saying "you didn't make that clear".
Uh? (It's exactly what I said. I made no mention of anything else).
I said " I am sorry I didn't say anything about staffing" and her reply was "you asked my option and didn't agre with it"
🤯 (I didn't disagree. I didn't say anything to it at all?)
I then replied "actually I do agree and understand, but its ok, thank you" and I walked off.
Our exchange definitely demonstrates that the tarrifs and the economy is affecting businesses and how they treat their employees. I don't think any employees should feel like their wages are dependent on how well the economy does, it should be whether they have a job or not. Pting them less than five dollars an hour and expect them to make tips only burns out staff and repels clients.
Trying to engage the battery estate to let her vent about the economy as to not feel a lack of personableness should not result in defensiveness and filling opposition to a client talking about coffee and not about wages.
Staff at tandoorin do not respond this way when talking about the price of eggs going up. They simply say it's been hard to get eggs and the economy is really affecting produce. We hope it gets better. But at no time do they or any of the other restaurants or coffee shops i've been at has an employee ever taken it personal to be about them.
This is not a great experience and now leaves it to be just come in.Get the coffee and leave as soon as possible.

Read moreI wanted to like this place so much but they really don’t make it easy - first of all, it’s so overpriced (but I get it- if you want to save money, make your coffee at home, easy…). The breakfast items and coffee are ok.. Customer service is not ok though.. Yesterday I ordered latte with oat milk but got latte with regular whole milk (the gentleman behind the counter was nice and took my order correctly as it was written on the coffee cup). I guess it was my bad that I didn’t double check with the barista that it’s oat milk as ordered and I didn’t take a sip at the coffee shop to make sure my order was done correctly. But it happens… I came back this morning to get the same coffee again and politely asked the young lady behind the counter to make sure I get oat milk as I didn’t get the right order yesterday and I politely continued to explain why I can’t have regular milk. The girl behind the counter didn’t even blink and just continued interrupting me, asking what size of cup I want etc. Didn’t acknowledged my concern at all and then she charged me for an extra shot in my latte… she said that ‘it’s called Golden Latte but it’s actually just milk so I have to add extra shots if I want….’ What?? Also why do you want to do customer service when you don’t care about your customers at all? So in the end, I ended up being charged extra because I wanted to be polite, came back to share my experience that nobody even cared about… great job! Going back to Ziggi’s next time when I want to pay for my coffee (and get an actual nice customer service if...
Read moreI love this place. They brew their own Chai and they have a bunch of different kinds. My favorite is the black chai, but I’ve tried the green chai and it’s really good too.
I recently started to come to Longmont twice a week for work and I always make sure I leave a little earlier than necessary to be able to stop by and get a chai, it’s some of the best I’ve had and over the past couple years I’ve turned into a bit of a chai connoisseur 🤣 and I crave this chai on the days that I don’t have to come to Longmont. If it wasn’t 45 mins from my home I’d probably go every morning.
The people that work there really make the place too! They’re so nice and it wasn’t long after I started going that some of them had even memorized my order and that’s definitely a really nice touch. Thanks for always being a great place to go...
