Update based on our visit today:
I am sure no one cares but I am so frustrated with the whole experience.
I left my previous review below because the difference in our service today vs our previous experience was a 360° difference.
We were excited to go have a nice meal tonight. Got seated at 6:30pm. Took 30 or more minutes just to get our drinks and appetizers. We had to ask if they were bringing our drinks from the bar because we still hadn't gotten those. She finally went and got them.
Then we waited a while longer for them to take our order. We finally had to flag her down and ask if we could order. About 7pm.
Literally 7:50 we got some of our food. Then we got the rest and were missing several items. By 8, we had all of our food. The kids were tired and hungry.
I ate three bites of my steak. It was supposed to be medium but it was well done and had no seasoning. My husband's was the same way. I was done. At that point, I was just done. Everyone finished eating. We hadn't seen the waitress in some time. Usually we are visited by a manager and I would have shown them the steak and talked to them about the entire experience. It was not busy. I don't understand what the issue was. We were all done and waiting for the check. Grandma was so tired and upset that she left early. We had to flag the waitress down again just to pay.
I am always told that I am too nice and I should "say something" if something isn't right so please know that I do not over exaggerate these things and absolutely do not expect the princess treatment. We just wanted a nice meal.
$250 ticket for what? Next time we will go to Texas Roadhouse Previous review.
Always great food and friendly staff. This time, we were hosted by Hope and Elise(I can't remember for sure but she was being trained by Hope). They were both great, friendly and patient with us. We have two young kids and it was nice to not feel rushed out. Everything tasted great. It was just great all together. Thank you. Also, the nice manager lady(I keep forgetting to ask for her name) is there almost every time we go and she is just a joy. Very kind and she even involves our kids in...
Read moreHonestly, this was the worse experience I ever had at a Red Lobster. The wife and I decided we wanted to go out for a late lunch and we were craving seafood.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the host who proceeded to seat us. The all-you-can-eat-shrimp special was brought up and toted which got us all excited for it!...just for our waiter to approach a few minutes later and tell us that that special was only offered on Mondays....we were there on a Saturday.
While breezing thru the menu, I inquired about a blackberry ameretto sour. When I questioned if the drink was worth ~$7.50 the waiter smiled and ensured me that he would make sure the drink was made "right".....not only was there maybe a drop of ameretto, but the only flavor was "sweet". Not sure what happened to the "sour" part. I could not even finish the drink. That is how sweet it was.
The wife and I decided to split a fried seafood platter. Upon delivery of the dish to the table, it was abundently obvious that half of the dish was made fresh and the other half was re-dropped in the fryer. And then they had the audacity to not even try and mix the golden-brown and dark-brown colors of scallops, shrimp, clam strips, and flounder fillets together to try and blend the two colors. Shame on you. You cannot pass a lazy, ametur frycook trick on an ex-Mcdonalds employee.
I did not even have the motivation to speak up about my displeasure. I cannot begin to imagine how much of a waste of of my time it would have been to complain at an establishment that clearly has no regard to cook anything past half a meal and combine it with old food. And then have the courage to look me in the eye as they serve me the dish with not a hint of hesitation.
Will not eat at another Red Lobster...
Read moreI have eaten at this Red Lobster for over 10 years and in that time the food itself has not really improved or changed. It is mostly what you would expect from a large chain type restaurant with the food being noticeably bulk generated with premade items. With the shrimp being I think their shining jewel, the Lobster is always insanely overcooked and almost inedible no matter how you get it cooked. AS far as their pasta dishes go, other than like the shrimp or crab alfredo anything else seems like its pasta in a bowl covered in a premade glob of scampi butter than just allowed to melt. The top 3/4 is just dry flavorless pasta with the bottom soaked in fat. Just feels rushed. Having been going here for a while I have learned how to manipulate my food from the normal to make it enjoyable, but if you are unaware of how or what to expect then prepare for a mediocre experience. Cheddar bay biscuits are on point though, when you can get them brought to you more than once. The all you can eat specials are usually pretty decent with new items as they seem actually prepared except for the crab which really just feels frozen and old and is usually dried out and overcooked. Most of the appetizers are very good like the lobster pizza and dip, and the desserts are fantastic, as well as the chicken dishes. If you want seafood, there are better places to go, but for convenience and knowing what to expect I...
