We went there at 1130 on Sunday, just after they opened for the day. The restrooms were filthy. The service was horrible. We had to get up from our table, find an employee and ask for refills on our drinks, and bread rolls. Then we had to get up again because our order of beef tips didn't have the gravy it was supposed to come with. Then they said that the fries for one of our burgers would be out shortly, but 20 minutes later it still hadn't been brought out. The manager stopped at our table and we mentioned the fries, and she said she would see to it that they were brought out immediately, but 10 minutes later we had to get up again and ask a random employee to get them for us (to go of course). Finally, both burgers, and a side of loaded mashed potatoes were served cold. Also, they went very skimpy on the "loaded" mashed potatoes.
5 Sep 19 - contacted the service manager, explained about my previous experience, and was given a $40 credit to use on my next visit. Though it doesn't cover, but half of my previous bill (or any future bill, given that I rarely dine alone) I appreciated the gesture and will update my review accordingly (positive or negative) after my next visit.
14 Sep 19 - Wow! I finally made it back to this Texas Roadhouse and the service was phenomenal! Not only did that get everything right this time, but the drinks were kept full, and the server asked if I wanted blue cheese crumbles with my blue cheese dressing on my salad. The restrooms were cleaned/picked up at least twice during the hour and a half we were there. The server was very friendly and did her best to ensure we had everything we had asked for. The only issue I had was that she didn't check my ID when I said I had a $40 credit waiting in my name. She asked for my name, but didn't ask for my ID in order to confirm I was who I said I was. Also, toward the end of our visit they were getting a little busy. I had to ask our server twice in order to get to go trays and we had to track someone down in order to pay the check so we could leave. However, it was still incredible service and far better than our previous experience. Thank you to the owner and manager for making our visit a much more...
Read moreEdit: Here is the Response from TR. It's the same canned response from all of their bad reviews. It doesn't speak to any of my bulleted points below. Also note other reviews that said customers reached out to TR to make things right and they never followed up. No, I will not be giving them another chance, that's ridiculous.
Response from the owner.... Travis, we're sorry you had to give us a 3-star review. We appreciate your feedback and will communicate with our team to make sure we are providing legendary food and service. We hope you will give us another chance!
Review:
What?!? I know I haven't been to a TR in a few years but I remember the food being at least serviceable.
I thought it would be fun to go to a TR for my birthday dinner with the family and we pulled up in a parking lot four rows deep with a window service area that was designated to get on the waitlist...a Texas Roadhouse waitlist. My wife had put us on the list early so we walked right in but the atmosphere, food, service, and noise level were all problematic. I figure, to a certain extent, TR is like TGI Fridays, that is, it's intended to be obnoxious. I just don't remember the food tasting this bad.
Again, what is with the crowd crush?? it's a Texas roadhouse.
Food: -Vegetables were criminally undercooked. it was just raw vegetables in warm water with seasoning -My Steak Medallion's were just uninspired hunks of flesh that looked like they had been sitting in the sun for an hour before it got to me. -My Green Beans looked (and tasted) like they came straight outta the can. throw them in the microwave to warm up...a little. -The kids didn't touch their mac and cheese (how do you screw that up?) -My wife said her ribeye tasted like something they squeezed out of a tube (a la Red Lobster)
There is no chance of me returning to TR. If I want garbage bar food, I have a dive bar near my house and I defs don't have to wait in a line that goes...
Read moreWe were not impressed. My hubby, INFANT daughter, and I stopped here for dinner. Anyway, we walked inside and up to the hostess. We did have an infant car seat with us for our 5 month old daughter. I have been to a lot of different restaurants and the car seat has not been an issue. We told the hostess that we were a party of two, but we have a baby in an infant car seat. She said that was fine and sent us off with a gentlemen who was taking us to our table. He took us to a table in the main walk way. The tables don't move either as they are bolted to the floor. So we went to try and slide our car seat into the booth and it was too big. So I asked about a sling, the guy told us that we can't do that due to being to busy of a walk way. I can understand that, no big deal. Any way, he was confused to where to take us, so he went back to the hostess. He then came back and told us that we would have to wait 25 to 30 minutes for a table. Now.. I would be ok with this if it weren't for the fact that the place was OVER HALF EMPTY! So I went up front and we asked to speak to a manager, she immediately said that they could handle the car seat. We ended up sitting at high top table in the bar. I don't like being in the bar area if it's adults, but I don't want my kids there at all. Anyway I accepted it, I didn't have much of a choice. When we asked about the tables in the back of the dining area we were told they weren't being used anymore because they cut servers. I am sorry, but this seems to be an issue! This can't be the first or last car seat they have seen. To add insult to the injury, my husband ordered chili and they failed to tell him it would take forever to get because they needed to make more. Our server was very nice though. He did take 20% off of the bill due to the wait. Overall, the experience wasn't good. I don't think we...
