i am regular customer as I work near by, but terrible experience today. walked in to order a take out during my lunch. Cashier/order taker stood 15 feet away and asked if I knew what I wanted. I asked if they had a daily special, Cashier pointed and said yeah 'there'. With a table full of standard menus in front of me, I asked where? In the past they had daily specials easily visible. again he pointed and said there. to which I raised my hands in question. Once again the response 'there'. I said ok well 'I'm good 'having clearly understood I was not going to be simply told or shown the daily special. Finally he walks over aggressively and pulls a non visible menu from the back of the stack and says here. At that point I had lost my appetite due to the lack of customer appreciation and said I'm good, I was just looking for some assistance. To which he replies 'I thought you saw it? I said how it was at the back of the pile and I asked multiple times where. I said I will be taking my business elsewhere. His reply good. Im not sure how asking for the daily special and walking away empty handed is a good thing when the 3 employees were standing around idle during lunch. Maybe he is the owner and can make that call, but ill take his advice and eliminate company and personal luncheons. There are alot of great lunch spots in this town who appreciate their customers, this is not...
Read moreHaving visited Thailand, and had family members who have lived there I have been eating Thai food since I was a child. The food at Jai Thai is some of the most authentic Thai food I've had in the States. It is hard to find Thai food that tastes "Thai - Thai"...you know, how it tastes on the streets of Bangkok. Since we moved to Colorado we had been sorely disappointed with each Thai restaurant we tried. The first bite I had of the cashew nut chicken dish took me right back to the streets of Bangkok. I can't get enough of their curries, and their appetizers are mouth-watering. Interestingly enough, they also have a full Sushi bar. While I'm not a big Sushi eater, our Sushi loving friends rave about their Sushi here. We are now on a first name basis with the staff here, and will be regulars. They offer a Level 1-5 for spicy preferences. Level 1 is truly not spicy, (our kids eat this) while 5 will knock your socks off. Personally I love the "Level 3". Our 3 children beg to come to Jai Thai, as they have been eating Thai food since they were cutting teeth, and can recognize authentic Thai food when they taste it. 5 hearty stars for Jai Thai - undoubtedly the BEST Thai food...
Read moreDisclaimer: I worked as a dishwasher/driver there for a few months. This place is run by absolutely vile people with zero concern for the health of their customers or co-workers. The cooks handle raw chicken and then proceed right back to cooking without washing their hands. This happens on a daily basis. The water they use to boil veggies before stir frying looks like sewage, and they don't understand that putting away clean dishes with dirty hands kind of defeats the purpose of washing them. The reason I quit- Sushi chef has been coming to work sick as can be for weeks. I've watched both the other cooks get sick and seemingly recover within that period. None of them bothered to call in sick or cover their mouths when they cough. Watching them cough all over the food for weeks was trying. However, the last straw was the sushi chef, who is still visibly sick, is coughing as loud as possible every time he passes me. I don't know his motivation but I'm forced to assume it's an attempt to infect me with whatever...
