Donut Palace — Restaurant in Longview

I don't ever write reviews but I was so disappointed, actually quite upset, after my first (and ONLY) visit there. Not only was my entire order incorrect, the filled donuts literally had a single dot of filling on the outside to LOOK full, but were completely empty on the inside. I mean, bone dry. I asked for boudin kolaches and instead they gave me earl Campbell, they were out of boudin, which wouldn't have been a problem but they didn't TELL me that they were out, they just stuck the earl Campbell's in a bag and hoped I didn't notice. But I did. Lastly, I ordered a croissant sandwhich and it was so soggy from being wrapped in Saran Wrap that I couldn't eat it. And it tasted like Saran Wrap. I've been on the hunt for a lemon filled donut that the filling isn't overly sweet and actually taste tart like a lemon should. I finally found it here! The rest of the donuts I received were also good. The lemon will have me going back. Staff was friendly . There's a slight language barrier but "pointing" works and I found they understood well enough to efficiently get my order filled. No complaints. The food here is always good. The lady adds in "free" items but I have been over charged and just was again by $5. I didn't realize it until I was adding in my head driving home, had my kid so I didn't go back. I would have ordered more if I had planned to spend more. Another time I was there, she ran my debit card, I watched it go through, she brought it back said it didn't work. Thankfully I have online banking which popped up as soon as she ran it. I showed her it worked. She just smiled and shook her head ok....
