If I could give this place a zero I would, going here is NOT worth the health risk. My family and I had a terrible time and didn't stay long. The food had both gone bad or was cooked improper no matter what it was we tried. The hole family, including my two sons got sick- my husband got sick and had to use their unsanitary bathroom which was covered from wall to floor in fecal matter and vomit, my father in laws was on the edge of throwing up as was I so I took a drink of my sons water trying ease my stomach only to find out my 3 year olds water tasted like shrimp! I dont know how the hell one does that but needless to say we took away his water and watched him closely because he developed a stomach ache and fell asleep on the way home. Before we could get in the car I ended up vomiting in the grass because the bad food we tried. We never finished our plates of food we took bites of items items that looked ok only to find out they weren't and the other food we didn't touch because they didn't look right. Lastly it was terribly hot inside which made this all so much worse we were all sweaty and my infant became over heated to the point he was sweating and upset which was scary , before leaving after I got sick we held my son in front of the cars AC and fed him a pre packed bottle of milk we had in the cooler and kept it cold in attempt to bring his core temp down. Thankfully it worked and my baby started to feel better as he cooled down, while the rest of us went home feeling sick and and not having eaten much at all we were hungry once our stomachs settled and got home. It was not worth the gas, money, nor the short period of time spent there .This all happened so fast in a short amount of time, We are NEVER coming back . I don't want to see my kids and family go through that again nor myself. The only good thing about this place is our waitress was super sweet, but it still doesn't make up for a...
Read moreMe and my 8 yo son ate there several times since GC opened. The food was always great and GC was so good; Ryans shut down. Most of the waitresses were great. Yes the floor gets dirty but with that much traffic its gonna. RR needed attention, always smelled bad. I drink water but the high price fountain drink for my son was too high. Longview GC stopped the service of the waitress bringing rolls which is a negative to me. But a buffet restaurant is what it is & you can expect it to have some problems. Nevertheless, we went on a Friday holiday and Ryans had just closed so they had jacked up the menu price. I asked the cashier why and she muttered something about if you eat steak today its higher. What??? Duh!!! I said I'm not eating steak. She said well, its a holiday and we had to raise the price. (They could have been honest and posted a sign on the front door saying now that we forced Ryans to close we have jacked up our price.) I said take the charge off my card we're leaving. She had to go get the asst. mgr who came and she took the charge off my card. Very unfriendly. I really liked it there at first but saw a major change in service and some of the food after they changed from the first mgr. to the one when we went that last time. Nope, won't be back, too expensive. I can eat at Texas Roadhouse with much better food and service and a much lower price. I have eaten at GC in many cities and where the management was good so was the food and service....
Read moreI rate the food & wait staf at 5. I only gave 3 stars over all for 2 reasons: There was a long line to to pay [you pay upon entering] & they never opened up the second register. This was at 130pm on a Sunday. The cashier wasn't all that friendly & apparently his job included answering the phone! The phone should be answered in the office by office staff during peak times. The bathroom was super small & of poor design for this large of a restaurant. The only place to wait for a stall was between the one sink & the drop down diaper changing station/ walk way to the stall or in front of the hand drying area or in front of the door, all within a Hands reach of each other.. Plus if someone needed the diaper change table it would have block the way to the 3 stalls & the sink. When someone came from a stall to wash their hands it was hard for them to maneuver to the sink if even one person was waiting for a stall. In this case there 2 people waiting. The one stand alone sink was enclosed by a wall on either side. To make it worse, the hot water was on the right were the cold should be making it take longer to finally have warm water for proper hand washing. The bathroom clearly was not large enough for 3 stalls & a baby...
