I really want to give this place a good rating for the here of where it sits but it is hard for me. Hopefully I can later on. As for now I lhave only been here three times (counting tomight) and each time there is something that is not making the experience what it should be. So in light of this, this time I called ahead and asked quite a few questions, even telling the English speaking woman that I had no been there but twice before) before I ordered to understand their dishes before hand. I felt like my questions were answered and placed our order. I decided even though it is not on the menu to go ahead and order simple green beans with garlic sauce. The green beans were so overcooked they were mushy and there was no flavor of garlic at al. Like, at all. I ended up putting my homemade garlic salt on them to help it along. And sadly we have traffic here so they had turned into corn starch jello by the time I got them home.
With that being said, mind you the lady on the phone did not tell me how much these would cost nor did she tell me how long before I should pick up my order. She was gone once she took my name. So I got dressed, went to the Asian market on the way; got 2 staples and then drove to their establishment. We spent $50 here all in all for 2 small soups, lg fried rice, 2 dishes, egg roll appetzer and an order of green beans.
The chicken Mei fun was good. Not my complaint. The mushrooms chicken soup was probably my favorite! The egg rolls were good, again not my complaint.
My complaint is that when I called back to see why the green beans were quite different from what I felt she described on the phone and there is no flavor of garlic which I was very specific on, she was quick to jump that of course I had picked my meal up late and of course the green beans would be jello soup by then. Again, she never told me what time frame so I presumed 15 to 20 mins'ish like most places, even pizza. While I tried to make her understand that is not what I felt like she explained she ignored my efforts. So I moved on to ask what the price was of the green beans were, to which she could have been more polite and professional by stating that it was X amount of dollars but instead she reported I could look on my receipt that she stapled to my bag. Mind you at no point was I rude. At no point was I curt. Kindness is free and I give that everywhere I can every single day. My reply to her was live and learn! To which I hoped she would at least extend the offer to replace the green beans. At least for what I tried to clarify I wanted when I kept asking her questions instead of eating my food but clearly they do not do that here which is surprising to me. Again... live and learn.
When someone calls in, maybe try asking clarifying questions to make sure the customer does understand, especially after they have told you several timrs they are not big on sauces at all, that what the establishment you work at will serve Texas level of sauce on said green beans. That simple truth would have altered my course of action. And also if a flavor is mild seeing as I am clearly expecting garlic.
And regardless of whether or not you take a lot of call ins - an idea of how many minutes before it's ready is always helpful to someone who does not work there.
Also for those of you who like me like veggies -. she told me the steam them then put them into a wok to cook them more and then they add the sauce. Well of course they would be mushy! So if you do not want mushy green beans maybe you avoid that all together. Seeing as they don't have any printed veggie dishes on the menu. She did tell me they had a veggie delight but I can imagine the level of sauce on that would take away from any potential delight you might have if you actually like veggies.
Hope this helps anyone who is curious to enjoy their...

Read moreThe girl that took our order was super patient and knowledgeable with the menu. She answered any questions we had about the menu and what's included. We've been hesitant to go here because we haven't seen anyone review this place but after trying their food it's all I'll ever want! The rangoons were perfect, not too tart. The egg rolls are the best I have ever had. Everything has a wonderful flavor! For what you pay for they give you a lot of food too unlike every other place around here. I'm so glad we decided to try this place tonight! They have a lot on their menu including all kinds of noodles, (beef, chicken, or shrimp lo mein) fried rice, different soups, and more. We tried their chicken lo mein, orange chicken, and general tso's. Everything was...
