Here's my review of Fun Noodle Bar in Longview, TX. It was my first time there when I visited on Monday, January 23, 2024. I plan to go there again to try their other dishes. It rained heavily that day, so I was in the mood for Wonton Soup. I also ordered Steamed Bao Buns (beef) and the Lunch Bento Box with Chicken Teriyaki.

Once I placed my order, they brought everything in a timely manner. They do not have fountain drinks. They will bring you a glass of ice along with the bottle or soda can drink you requested.

The dish that I enjoyed the most was their Wonton Soup. They were generous with their portions of wontons in the soup. I enjoyed the tasty flavors of the soup. I spoke to the couple at the table next to me and one of them was enjoying the Black Garlic Ramen. I may try that next time.

It dawned on me later that the delicious Wonton Soup is not on their menu. I checked their menu photos on Facebook and did not see it. They offered Hot and Sour Soup, Egg Drop, and Miso Soup.

I was impressed that they made it for me despite it not being on the menu. Extra points for that!

The Bao Buns were good, as was the Lunch Bento Box. I wish they had more teriyaki sauce on the chicken.

Altogether, I had a good dining experience. The staff was friendly. They have traditional Chinese dishes that I would like to try next time (Coconut Shrimp, Mongolian Beef), and I would like to try their sushi rolls. I will definitely be back.

Welcome to Longview,...

Cool new place- love the decor and atmosphere! We ordered the crab Rangoons- no crab whatsoever in them or any spices, just pure cream cheese- gross- they took them off our check and the waitress told me she agreed there is no crab flavor at all. We ordered the bento box lunches- I had the teriyaki salmon- it was very good hoever it thought it was odd there were just tiny pieces of salmon with onions- I expected a slice of salmon. It was a very small amount of salmon- they obviously chop it up to make it look like more- kind of a cheap move. That being said- it had great flavor. There’s a salad served in the bento box and we were shocked it had ranch dressing on it- what on earth? Where’s the delicious Asian dressing it should come with?!! Many of the dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious, and we will give them another try. Hope they can improve as far as the crab Rangoons, salad and salmon portion/presentation. Hopefully their other dishes are...

It was awesome! Will definitely be coming back!

Food: We got the ragoons and they were sooo good, they were not lacking in the filling and they were crispy but light! The spring rolls were also amazing! My mom got the hot and sour soup, which was also absolutely delicious! She mentioned it was very filling. My dad got the General Tso, which was crispy and tasty! My dad mentioned he would have preferred the broccoli that came with it to be a little more steamed (but that's more of a personal preference.) I had the Pork Katsu dinner bento box and it was so filling! Everything in the bento box was delicious and there was plenty to pick from! The only thing I didn't like in the bento box was the wasabi, but that may also be more of a personal preference.šŸ˜… All of the sauces that came out were awesome sauce! (Haha) Honestly, there wasn't anything that we didn't like.

Service: Everyone was very kind and attentiveā¤ļø And the food came out...

Great food and atmosphere. We had to wait about 20 minutes to sit down due to it being packed. Once seated we waited a few mintues for our waitied to come to our table. I decided to do apps and we got the steamed bao and soup dumplings because I knew we would have to wait several for our main courses. Both bao and dumplings are yummy! We liked that you could watch the kitchen staff cook and make noddles. There are several tv's to watch sports or other shows while you waited. My daughter had beef Ramen and I had a Salmon belly teriyaki bento box. My daughter loved hers but my food wasn't hot enough (temperature)as I expected. Rice and Salmon were luke warm. I will give this place another try and may go early before the crowd hits for lunch or dinner. I am just excited we have a Japanese option in Pine Tree. Next time I will try the sushi and noodle soups.

We have been to the Fun Noodle Bar a few times since they opened, mostly during hours when they were not super slammed. Each time in the past, it's been amazing, 10 star service and everything. However, the other night, we did have a hiccup with service. Please mind that this is the first time since visiting this place that we EVER had issues with service and it certainly won't stop us from visiting again, it's just likely we will visit at non peak hours. We got SO many dishes (sadly, didn't get the free spring rolls(?) this go around). My favorite go-to for apps is the soup dumplings. Highly recommend those along with anything soup based. Though I am biased and truly love anything soup based šŸ˜‹.
