2nd visit: four friends for breakfast on a Tuesday morning, and our visit was a great one, thanks to our waitress, Julie! Sh been there for over 15 years! What a kind woman indeed! This time around I tried blueberry pancakes that were yummy ! Now that's what I call Great customer service with smiles! See or ask4Julie the gem๐ Note:1st time:Had breakfast with friends and it was all right. I say such because my French toast are better and I didn't order anything special. I had scrambled eggs and sausage. I regret not ordering pancakes! We arrived @715a.m. &the place was quiet. Not sure because it was Martin Luther day. Our waitress was Cheyenne. She said she "stole"my receipt when I asked her for the receipt. *(It's bad manners & poor customer service!) IF U are a waitress, I suggest, you leave the receipts at the tables, then "steal" them if they are left behind by customers at the tables. If it's not 1 thing: I can't stand having to ask for my receipt when I have paid! Especially when the young lady says she "stole it" Really? Wow! Poor choice of words. My food was not hot either. Why? Because I observed that it was sitting at the counter for a tad bit. Haven't visited Pancake House in over 2 years maybe it be better next time. I posted pictures of my order2go! Thank you for a great visit today Linda...
ย ย ย Read moreThey are known for their pancakes for a reason. That being said, I stopped by since there was nothing that seemed to be good from Olympia, WA to Vernonia, OR. Nice midpoint rest stop. Anyway, seems this place might always be packed since I showed up during the weekday when people usually should be working. Can't blame the service, they were getting swamped, but reasonably friendly. The locals in the area seemed nice, but now to the best part, the food. The pancakes I gotta say, hands down are in the top two for best pancakes in my books. This is definitely worth noting because I'm a huge critic when it comes to superb food. The other being Paula's pancakes in Solvang, CA but incomparable since both are made differently. The portions were perfect size for me too, and I could tell there was much care for each item made. Even on a busy day, they managed to keep everything together. The wait was well worth it. Everything was on point and topped most other restaurants dishes. I'll probably return once more before heading back to Colorado. An hour drive for some bomb pancakes, if that ain't telling you how good these pancakes are, I don't know what to tell yeah. If I show back up, I'll check for consistency for taste, but I'm very certain they're consistent,...
ย ย ย Read moreI live in Vancouver and was heading to Long Beach, WA for the first time. I looked at the map to find a breakfast place that was about an hour from home and landed in Longview. We arrived at 9am and waited maybe 10 minutes. We ended up sitting at the counter which I've never done before, but it was actually kind of fun because we got to see all the plates of yummy food. Kendra was our server and she was exceptional. Sweet, friendly, genuine, attentive. My friend and I both had the French toast with eggs and breakfast meat. I had sausage links, she had bacon, and we split a side of hash browns. Everything was really good and prepared perfectly. Coffee was good. The prices were lower than I'm used to, which was a pleasant surprise. I was surprised at some of the negative reviews, but I guess the planets just don't always align. I'm really glad they were aligned for my friend and me today. I will...
