We stopped here for dinner while heading to Lake o' Pines for a weekend getaway, and it came recommended as a spot to eat while passing through Longview. We’re so glad we made the stop. The staff was warm, attentive, and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was stunning inside, boasting two floors of dining space. For an appetizer, we ordered the 7-layer dip, which was absolutely phenomenal—especially when paired with their homemade chips dusted with chili sauce. As a delightful bonus, they brought out warm flour tortillas with honey and butter alongside the chips, which was a treat. Our entrees were just as impressive. The chile rellenos with beans and rice were a standout, though the rice was a touch dry and could’ve used more flavor—perhaps a sprinkle of queso would’ve livened it up. The beef and cheese chimichanga, on the other hand, was perfection. To top it off, they offer an extensive lineup of margarita flavors. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.

My family wanted to go out for Cinco De Mayo and had a couple places in mind. We are not from Longview, so we tried another place that we are familiar with. The wait time was over an hour. We instead drove down the street to Papacita’s. The reviews were great, and we started getting excited before we stepped inside. First impressions: this restaurant is massive! It’s 2 stories tall and has water features and a live mariachi band. We waited a whopping 2 minutes to be seated! 2 things about the food stood out to me. Each person at our table received a bowl of salsa instead of sharing one bowl and the puffy tacos I ordered were crispy and more like bowls than tacos. In San Antonio puffy tacos are still fluffy and able to be folded. Aside from that difference, this place was great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for dinner in Longview, TX.

Always pretty good. Probably one of the best spots for larger groups or company functions. Lacks a little in the more intimate setting. Not a bad thing, just not one of my preferred date night destinations. Food is typical chain style TexMex, it's good and portions are good sized. Service is pretty good although our server could have used some help with our party. She did an excellent job, but some assistance would have made her job easier. Sopapilla's are a signature dish here, and they are very good. The salsa had a "sweet" flavor tint to it. Not my favorite. I prefer a little "kick" to my salsa. It wasn't bad, just not what I like. I had the loaded 1/2 order of nachos and they were very good. All said, it was pretty good, typical well managed and staffed chain style restaurant.

I don't know what it is with this place, that's why we quit going there, but with one of our favorite places closing at eight and the other more or less running a scam for tips, we decided to give it another try a couple of weeks ago. I had the Mexican Flag burrito and it was delicious and the chips were to die for and the service was great. My wife and daughter both commented on how good everything was. A few nights ago, we went back and were seated in the middle of the main dining room, which with the COVID BS made us feel like we were sitting in the middle of a pasture and my wife wanted to move. We were then seated in a booth in the room to the left when you walk in. We were waited on by a very friendly server who seemed to want to do everything to make us have a good experience. Again, the chips and salsa were great. My wife ordered a taco dinner and a side of guacamole. I had the burrito combination dinner with beef. Our meal came out okay and looked like we were going to have a good experience until my wife noticed she didn't get her guacamole. Trying in frustration to get someone's attention, I forgot about my meal and devoted the next few minutes trying to flag someone down to get our waitress. I finally got the attention of the chip lady who obviously didn't speak English, but did get the manager who took care of everything for my wife. By then my food was barely warm and the beef in my burrito so salty, I couldn't eat but a few bites and gave up. Like I said earlier, our server seemed good at first, I don't know if she got in the weeds or what, but feel like everything would have been fine if someone was checking. Needless to say, our experience...

Food is great and they are pretty quick getting your food ready. Very friendly.....08/03/22 Another pleasant meal. We got takeout this time and took it home to eat in the comfort of our own home and we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Food was excellent and service was as well! Would definitely recommend for everyone to give this place a try even if you tried it a long time ago and didn't like it then. I bet you might change your mind now. 12/30/23 My girlfriend and I had another pleasant experience last night at Papacitas restaurant. We showed up around 9:30pm and sat at the bar. There wasn't very many customers there at this time. We watched the remaining minutes of the Cowboys game against the Lions which was super intense at the end with Dallas pulling out the win 20-19! I ordered the chimichanga with ground beef and my girlfriend ordered the steak & shrimp fajitas. Everything was absolutely delicious and the food was out in no time. We had pretty much filled up on flour tortillas and chips and hot sauce by the time our food came out we took a few bites and went ahead and boxed the rest up for a late night snack at home. My girlfriend had ordered a margarita and she added mango to it which was an extra $2 and the drink itself was $14 for the margarita, so $16 total for one margarita! That seems a bit high to me, but my queen gets whatever she wants. I myself just had a Dr.Pepper. The total for the meal was $58 and I left a $15 tip. I was happy to pay with a bigger tip because the food and service is worth every penny and I don't have any problems showing my gratitude. I still highly recommend this place...

If I could give a half of a star I would .. I frequent this restaurant quite often and decided to order lunch there due to the fact I had been at the hospital with my mother for two days.. I ordered shrimp with fajita chicken at 1:18 p and picked it up at 1:38 p on May 3,3024… automatically when I got back to the hospital I could smell the shrimp smelling really fishy but the chicken was ok .. so I tasted the shrimp and they had a real bad taste as if it was spoiled.. so I threw them in the trash moving forward I wasn’t about to leave the hospital again so I called when I was on my way home because I was exhausted which was about 7 and told the manager what happened I told her that I did not want a refund but I did want my meal because $23 was a lot to throw in the trash she the trash she go on to tell me the only way they could replace my meal was if I got it out the trash and brought it in for them to see … I most certainly was not but I did ask her if I did were they going to taste it also it would have been different if o asked for my money back but me being exhausted from being at the hospital and hungry I just wanted my meal but since I did not have it and I don’t stay in Longview I could not get a meal replacement a gift card or nothing… customer service at...
