I recently visited this lovely café, and I must say, the atmosphere is simply delightful. The moment I walked in, I felt a sense of warmth and comfort that made it the perfect spot for a leisurely catch-up with friends or a cozy family gathering. The tasteful décor, ambient lighting, and soothing background music created a welcoming environment that instantly put me at ease.

The service at this café was nothing short of exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring that my experience was enjoyable. They greeted me with a warm smile, and their welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home.

I ordered a latte, and I was impressed with the care and attention that went into its presentation. The barista crafted a beautiful foam heart atop my drink, which not only showcased their skill but also added a touch of charm to my latte. The coffee itself was rich and velvety, with the perfect balance of bold espresso and creamy steamed milk.

To accompany my latte, I indulged in a delicious muffin that was truly the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. The muffin was moist, fluffy, and packed with flavor, making it the ideal companion for my hot beverage.

One of those great local small businesses (Father and Daughter run) for any part of your day. Personal service at your table - your drinks and food are served to you. No assembly line. A steady stream of customers all day. Local business owners nearby stop in and say hi and for their usual and dash out, repeat customers are known and greeted warmly when they walk in to order their "regular", friends of any age stop in to chat and drink and snack together, knitters, chatters, young adults stopping in for coffee, snacks and a game. Families. Workers, or yet to be famous authors or entrepreneurs busy on their laptops of course with WiFi and plenty of plug in spaces, dashers - in and out with their “to go” treasures, calm peaceful music vibe, TV playing virtual drive trips world wide such as Montana, Switzerland, Thailand, Maldives, Europe, etc. where you can sit and temporarily escape your hustle and bustle, a local group of respectful teenage boys playing games after school and discussing the Bible and Jesus was particularly heartwarming to hear. All inclusive I’d say from all walks of life, ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, cultures. Everyone quietly doing their thing and respecting those around them doing their thing. Service dogs/animals welcomed with a free treat jar. Bathroom facility. Appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and respite in this safe, warm community, quaint beautiful historic part of Longwood, FL right next to the Longwood Sun Rail Train...

I came in to get some work done since we're still without power after Hurricane Ian, for which the space is set up very well: it's the middle of a late summer afternoon and the A/C inside is flowing well at what feels like ~74/75 degrees, the music is present but at a volume just right for ambience, and the tables all have more than enough space to set up a laptop w/ mouse and drink. No issues with finding an outlet and the wifi is working great.

The new owners maintained the good parts of Zanzibar's decorating. It's dark and cozy, but I think they've added some green and tweaked the lighting to keep it from approaching oppressive. The space just breathes well. And It's hard to find an espresso in Central Florida for under $2.00, but they're pulling it at $1.50 at the time of this writing! And the equipment behind the counter looks fresh, clean, and well maintained.

Long winded review but I hope these guys stick around. If you're looking for a comfortable place to set up shop for an hour, or to hang out with your friends somewhere other than home, Claro's will...
