Iāve never eaten here before. Looks real nice inside the service was good really crowded. We sat at a table that we could get because it was so crowded and it is the coldest place. Iāve ever eaten in my life. We sat under an air-conditioning vent that is pointed like directly at the table. My daughter had a jacket on she was freezing to death. It was unbelievably cold in there and Iām pretty tough. Iāve worked outside my whole life, but man it was freezing in there. I ordered turkey and it was the driest turkey Iāve ever had it was. It tasted OK but it was just crazy dry. My daughter had brisket and mac & cheese and fries. The fries. Mac & cheese were good. The brisket was really dry. I was surprised how dry it was. It was sliced brisket. My son had a sandwich that was brisket that was chopped up. He really liked his said it was really good. I got baked beans with brisket and they were just really not very flavorful tasted old and just didnāt really have a whole lot of flavor to them. Also, the cornbread was some of the most underwhelming cornbread Iāve ever eaten Iāve lived in five different southern states Iāve eaten some pretty cornbread and this isnāt in the running. It tasted like jiffy cornbread, but even a little worse than that. This is the chain so I would guess the stuff is that Office Cisco truck more than likely.. That said as crowded as it was and it reviews it has, I guess people like it. I wasnāt impressed at all. I am a veteran. I got a really nice parking spot right by the door, which is kinda nice. And there was nowhere to leave a tip when you pay the bill not that I saw. I didnāt see a tip jar anywhere the kid that was bussing tables Was really diligent and I gave him five bucks and unfortunately he gave it to his boss or manager. He didnāt know what to do with the tip. Iām assuming they donāt tip here what a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have given mission BBQ many chances to make this right and still have not gotten a response. Apparently this is the only way I'm going to get them to respond.........on June 4th my husband and I went to celebrate our 20th anniversary at Mission BBQ.. this was our first visit and we were excited!! My husband ordered the two meat tray and I ordered a burger, fries and mac and cheese. When I bit into my burger something caught my attention. So I took the bun off and realized they left the paper on the cheese that was then placed on my burger... I did not notice this until after I took a bite of it! The teenage manager that was working that evening came over to our table and blamed the mistake on a new line cook. When I informed the manager that for him to throw an employee under the bus like that was extremely unprofessional.. He apologized and walked away. He then returned to our table with some free sandwich coupons and told us he would comp our meal which was $43.17. My husband and I never did get to eat dinner together because my food was sent back .......two days later we realized the refund still had not been applied so I called the store and left a message with an employee who stated they would have someone call me back.... Here it is almost a week later and there has not been a refund or even a call back! I was extremely nice and realized that mistakes are made. However, to ignore me and not make good on the promise that was made for a refund doesn't look very good on mission barbecues part! I hate to come here and write this type of a review. However my guess is this is the only way I'm going to...

Mission BBQās new location in Lake Mary, FL, is nothing short of a blessing to our community. From the moment you walk up and see the words āReturn With Honorā above the door, you know this place is built on values deeper than just food. Fittingly, itās located only a mile down the road from Honor Churchāit feels like the heart of patriotism and faith beating strong right here in Central Florida.
We ordered the Pick Three, and it was more than enough to satisfy our family of three. The brisket? Easily some of the best Iāve ever hadātender, smoky, and bursting with flavor. The half chicken was seasoned to perfectionājuicy on the inside with a deliciously crisp skin. And donāt even get me started on the fries: made to order, hot, golden, and exactly what fresh is supposed to taste like.
The variety of sauces was both fun and impressiveāsomething for every palate. And the sweet tea? Southern delicious. Cold, sweet, and just what you want on a hot Florida day.
The music was patriotic, the service was friendly and faith-filled, and the whole experience reminded me that some places still stand for something. Mission BBQ is not the Chick-fil-A of barbecue restaurants. Chick-fil-A is the mission barbecue of fast food chicken joints.
Like a honey to a fly, this place draws you in with a sense of honor, community, and unbelievable food. Weāll be back again and again.
If you love Mission barbecue, you will love the community at Honor Church...
