88 Chinese & Sushi — Restaurant in Los Angeles

The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice for the second time I've ordered is spoiled! It has a strange odor and texture and makes your stomach hurt after awhile. I hadn't ordered in months due to the last bad experience with the shrimp but decided maybe it was a one off. I told the woman on the phone about my experience with my last order and she started getting mad over the phone! I had already paid over the phone so it was already kind of late to cancel. I just asked her to please make sure the shrimp was fresh this time. I knew I should've just canceled because the food came and again same experience. Not sure if it's due to pandemic or rising food cost but now their food has really went down in quality. Will never eat there again! The only reason I started going here was because my Chinese food go to closed during the pandemic so this is the only real option in my vicinity. First time and last time. Food was good but the service was hands down the worst I have ever encountered. I thought it was maybe personal... but the next person that came in was quickly treated the same. I dropped well over $100 between sushi and Chinese food. When offered condiments I said none... I have everything at home. Eccept.... for spicy mayo... which is a big hit in my house. I was told I had to pay extra. I said I should at least get a few... I just spent alot of money at your establishment. My regular sushi place is always around $100 and they throw so much extra in my bag that I don't need. She rudely said I don't care. To that I said.... then cancel my order. She quickly responded with what I assume was a small soda cup full of spicy mayo. Not sure why the people with the worst customer service skills seem to be the ones dealing with customers. Funny thing is we got more than we needed. WARNING! DO NOT EAT HERE! I stayed at the nearby motel and after stopping at liquor store I decided to get some take out since this place was next door. I get the food and head back to my room. I start eating and having a couple beers. 30 minutes later I was in hell! I was vomiting non stop along with diarrhea. I have been sick by food poisoning and this was 10 times worse. I was so close to going to hospital but made it to walgreens to get some pain relief and electrolyte fluids. I was somewhat better the next day. This leads me to believe the food was extremely toxic from mixing with a cleaner or from raw fish contaminating the area. This place should have been sued, I thought I was going to die that night if I was unable to control it. You have been warned and I sincerely hope you pass this place up.
