A Toda Madre Brunch — Restaurant in Los Angeles

The WORST experience we've ever had. Today is my birthday and it's Labor Day so I thought brunch would be a good idea.

We arrive at 1:30pm. We put in our drink orders and some appetizers, and the waitress seemed to have a hard time remembering our orders. Waitress comes by with the appetizer and two of the same lattes, one of which we did not order. Then later comes with the mimosa flight. We go on to wait 20 min until we can ORDER our food. My dad had to remind the waitress we still haven't ordered. She took our order then less than 2 min later she comes back asking us to repeat our orders. Another 30 min go by (it's been 50 minutes since we sat down), we still haven't received 3 out of 5 drinks we ordered. At this point is when we notice our waitress is stumbling around. After reminding her of our drinks, it's been more than 1 hour since we arrived and still no food. When the waitress comes out of the kitchen she comes to our table with the very SAME APPETIZER WE ALREADY HAD!!!! We told her we already received this and are waiting for the rest of our food! She said she'll let us keep the second set of appetizers free of charge which was fine but thats when we decide that we no longer want to wait. My dad then flags down who we assume may be the manager. Turns out our food was not being made and manager said the food is NOW BEING MADE. We asked for our check for the items we did receive. Fortunately, the manager understood and gave us a discount which we fully appreciate. But still, something needs to be done about that waitress that we are ASSUMING was under the influence, seeing that she was also hanging around customers who were drinking champagne that I can again, only assume, she also consumed. So we have nothing to say about the food, unfortunately, considering we never even got to try it. But the service definitely needs adjustments. We went to a different restaurant and didn't...

I’d like to start off by saying, I don’t believe the waitress did it on purpose. However my friend’s opinion differs. First, it took a long time for anybody to come get our drink order (not even waters were given to us). My friend had to go ask if we were supposed to order at the bar/ counter. The waitress apologized said she had thought somebody else had taken our orders, (there were only two waitresses and the establishment wasn’t busy). Referred to my pictures to see empty tables. She then brought our order wrong it was missing my eggs, no avocado. My friend had to ask for waters along with our coffees. She disappeared from our my table. I had to flag her down for my missing items & I never got my avocado. We then had to flag her down again to get our check and a box to go. I personally still tipped because I felt sorry for her, but my friend was very disappointed in her lack of attention to our needs. Overall I loved the eggs and the taste of the Mole. My friend didn’t like her eggs (she said they tasted burnt) check picture. no where on the menu does it say they charge extra for credit card use. I saw it on the receipt* check out...

I love trying new places and this one I had been excited about because of the hype on instagram . I think this place is wonderful when it comes to the art and the ambiance at the place . The staff and waitresses were very great with paying attention and they were super sweet. Unfortunately I am very sad to say that the food isn’t good . I got chilaquiles verdes and the chips weren’t chips they were not crunchy at all they were very wet triangles . The shrimp weren’t clean they had the gut line and the poo line in the back . They gave me a matcha full of ice and I was done with the drink after 3 sips . The very nice waitress did fill it up again after my concerned face and my review on it. I wish it were great but it wasn’t . The pistachio pancakes were the only good and tasty thing . No hard feelings I hope the dishes get refined with the flavors and get all the textures and crunch and your place will be filled . Sending much...
