The last surviving location of once many around Los Angeles. I moved to LA from San Diego myself 5 years ago, so this does not taste quite like the Baja Mexican that I am used to, especially black beans and their specific flavors here, but still it’s a solid choice for a good and casual meal. It’s just like Chipotle or a cafeteria and that you order at the counter and then watch them put the toppings on that you wish. There is a fairly large parking lot directly in front of the restaurant in the strip mall it’s located in and we had no trouble finding a spot there for a Friday night dinner. Service was very fast and they got all of our food items cracked. I started off with their fish taco, which was fairly good, although not quite like the ones back in SD. It’s more of a street taco and I would still recommend it. Next came the burrito grande which was very large, but very good. I wish the carne would be a bit more seasoned, but still I enjoyed it. Lastly, we ordered the chicken taquitos which were very very good. The chicken was still juicy and it was fried perfectly and we really enjoyed it. Overall, a good casual Mexican spot for any occasion. I would recommend and plan to be back in the future.

We love Baja Buds and come here about once a month. We sometimes dine in, which is fun and sometimes get take away, which is always great. Located in a strip mall, parking can be tiresome, but give it a minute and a spot will open up. Most are there for to go orders. The place is always spotless and the service is great. The staff is super nice and they will help you. This is a place where you get in line and you can see them making the food and some of it is served from warm burners. It is all great and all fresh. They have a nice salsa bar and sodas. I don't recall if they sell beer. We love all their food, but my favorite is their chicken burrito with extra cheese added. My husband loves their beef and pork. My grandson just loves their beans and rice. You will like this place. They don't use lard. Oh, and their chips are tasty,

This is a homey place with authentic burritos. Burritos are pretty sizeable too and come with tortilla chips. I ate half and took the other half to-go. Also ordered myself a Jarrito-mandarin flavored. They also sell some alcoholic beverages. We came at 4pm on a Friday and it wasn’t too busy, but as we left there was a line of people ordering. I thought it was a pretty good burrito, I just wish there was a white rice or cilantro rice option since I’m not a huge fan of the orangey rice. It’s in a plaza so there was a parking lot!

Ok so like Baja is my #1 go-to burrito place. Like I will regularly hop on the bus for an hour+ trip across half of LA just to get a burrito from Baja, and I'll often get two. Those Diana's tortillas they use are my favorite, the chicken and salsa and guac and everything is fresh and delicious, and just omg like everything just yes please all the time yes thank you I'll have twenty straight down my gullet please yes. I love this place, and I bring all my friends here at some point or another. I grew up with a Baja Bud's back when there were more locations, but I think this one is the last one around.

Some good-to-knows:

All the food has the same ingredients, it's just a matter of format. They also do enchiladas, which uses the same sauce they put on their nachos. They have fish too.

Burrito Grande just means it has rice and beans and guac/crema inside. I highly recommend getting burritos with all the standard fixins, lettuce included.

Parking in the front can be limited sometimes, but theres also a large parking lot behind the building with plenty of space (though mind the signage).

But yes go eat Baja so they can open up a location closer to...
