Boba Loca — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I have never been here before today and myself and two friends from out of town wanted to share a boba experience together while here. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and the young teenage boy behind the counter saw us arrive and was with another gentleman chatting who looked RIGHT at us and began turning off the lighted signs while leaving the door open. When asked if they were closed, they said yes despite the sign and online saying open until 10pm. We went elsewhere to another boba place who were happy to accommodate us. I cannot vouch for the taste of this place but I can vouch I will not be going back to Boba Loca for their nonchalant, unapologetic, attitude towards closing down RIGHT in front of us with no valid reason other than they just wanted to stand and talk to one another. It's good, lots of choices but you'd think a place called boba loca would have boba in the drinks you order. Granted, i ordered through postmates and assumed that my drink would have boba in it but it didn't and i guess i needed to request boba from boba loca. Ive been in person and i don't remember Having to ask for boba when ordering their smoothie. So if you order from postmates make sure you type that you want boba added because they don't give you the option to add boba when ordering online. That's probably not boba locas fault but postmates but boba is in the name so id expect boba to be in nearly all drinks. Anyways.... Their taro and the strawberry banana smoothies...

Very disappointed. My kids and niece ordered 3 drinks, two of the three were not good. My nieces jasmine milk tea was bitter and awful tasting. The boba tasted like plastic, the tea tasted old and bitter. My daughter’s Tai milk tea was so strong she had to add milk at home to neutralize it. I tried to call to express our complaints (four times), and they didn’t answer their phone. I called at 8:36pm, and business hours say until 10:00pm.
