Honest opinion, probably won't come back, but I don't go out often. Didn't have a wait to get in, but the table we were sat at didn't have utensils and there was a small piece of trash (sugar packet corner) on my chair. Probably rush cleaned since it is a busy place, not a huge deal, table seemed like it was wiped down. One server took our drink order and was pretty chill. A couple minutes went by and a different server came by, she seemed irritated (but maybe I read her wrong) with waters and asked if we wanted to order any drinks. I said we had already ordered coffees (I probably should have said we already put in an order) and she said she would get them. I had to quickly correct myself saying something like, "well a latte and café de olla", which she saw on her handheld device and confirmed the order. She said she would get the café for me. This is probably a good time to say I am definitely an awkward person and a bit of an introvert. Both servers returned with our drinks. The Latte, Mexican Mocha, and café were pretty good. Unfortunately I asked for a side of almond milk and got cream instead. Not liking to be a pain and being fine with cream, just preferring almond milk with cinnamony drinks, I let it slide and chalked it up to miscommunication amongst the staff. There are a few flying insects, probably fruit flies. Sort of a peeve of mine, though I understand it's difficult to control these things. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and delicious. Side note, why is orange juice so expensive everywhere? When the food arrived, we had to wait for a server to return to ask for silverware. By the time we had gotten the cutlery and napkins, a pinche fruitfly had made my pineapple cakes it's main course. The protein scramble is excellent, and they were happy to replace the onions with green peppers. I think it was the manager that came by and asked how everything was, and I said great, except there's a fly thing chilling on my pancakes. I tried shooing him away and the thing wasn't even phased. The manager offered to get it remade expressing that there might be a delay due to other orders. I was grateful for the offer. When the new batch arrived, I regretted having the cook remake them. Not sure if it's the batter or what, but they were not great. When it came time to pay, I wasn't presented an itemized receipt or anything, just handed over my card and the transaction took place there, so I honestly don't even know what I paid for. I don't like to be a pain or feel like I'm being a pain, so I probably...

Drinks: Café de Olla: My bestie ordered this and really enjoyed it! Tasty and bottomless to boot! Breakfast Republic Latte: This latte was very balanced and not too sweet. I added stevia after it arrived because I treat my coffee like dessert.
Food: -American: This was absolutely delicious. They give you the option of bacon or sausage and I didn't want to choose so I ordered an extra side of bacon to add to the Portuguese sausage that my meal was coming with. I also upgraded the potatoes for a $4 upcharge, worth it! The addition of brussel sprouts and chopped bacon did something to my soul. The house ketchup was tasty and made me keep coming back for more. The fresh housemade preserve that came with my English muffin was so amazing I asked for extra to go.
-Pancake Flight: I would like to propose to whoever thought this was a good idea because it is in fact brilliant!! For our 3 pancakes we chose: Cinnamon Roll, Oreo, and Churro. They were all so delicious that we really didn't even need butter or syrup. They were just that good and uniquely each their own thing. I am determined to try the pineapple upside down pancake next time.
-The Chilaquiles with Carne Asada: My bestie loved these and raved about the black beans.
The Service: This place was pretty packed on a Saturday morning, but they do a good job of steadily pumping the food out of the kitchen. We could tell our waitress was juggling a lot of tables, but everyone was super helpful whenever we asked for...
Read morein all seriousness the service is absolutely wonderful. Each staff member is kind and bring a great welcoming energy. The orange juice was fresh, delicious and everything I anticipated. However, the food is another topic of discussion I will address. I had ordered the chilaquiles from this restaurant and don’t crucify me for it with question like “what do you expect?”. But, as someone who has a liking for any attempt at making Mexican cuisine this was not it. I personally felt like the salsa for the chilaquiles was the issue. For some reason it was very acidic but tomato-y, missing spices I am quite familiar with, and lacked a lot of that at home flavor that one anticipates. My boyfriend had also ordered the breakfast burrito, and which he added lacked flavor and was in his words “really bland and it’s a breakfast burrito”. To be honest it felt like the burrito itself was missing a seasoning, maybe salt? maybe pepper? maybe chili? I personally couldn’t put my tongue on it. The rice itself was also very dry and not as rich as one may desire. The beans however, all in all completed their task and felt like one of the only better parts of this meal. in terms of price it wasn’t too expensive relatively speaking, about fifty dollars (does not include tip) but, I feel that a meal at home would’ve saved me time and money. Whatever it may be if you expect anything astounding from those 2 dishes I suggest ordering something else, maybe you might be better off...
