2022.04-03/SUN_1100: This is probably the first time we visited here after 10 am. We were scared we were gonna wait forever but we didn't! There was a wait but it wasn't longer than fifteen minutes. This place is hustlin'and bustlin'. This is an old fashioned deli and the best part besides the food are the wonderful, well-seasoned servers they have working here!
Today we had the pleasure of meeting Dona. She rocks! Just like Francisco, she was super attentive and we loved her personality! The staff is just incredible here! As people were leaving, everyone was saying goodbye to her so I know they were regulars that had the wonderful experience that we had!
We came here for our new favorite, the Chopped Liver appetizer. You heard me right. The last time I had liver was back home when my mee-maw made her delicous liver and onions. The only liver I thought I would ever eat in my life until I tried Brent's Chopped Liver. It's served with their homemade rye bread or bagel chips and butter. They even place enough tomatoes, lettuce and sweet red onions as garnish to make a sandwich out of it or just enjoy it piece by piece. It's that great, it could be your main entree. The chopped liver is served cold! I don't even care for liver and now I crave it!
Enough about the delicous liver. Let's move on. Since we had the appetizer, we decided to go with the Roast Beef Melt and the Black Pastrami Reuben, both with a side of Au Jus. The meat in their sandwiches were succulent and moist. Maybe in-house? Sure tastes tastes like it! The sandwiches were stuffed and grilled to a golden brown perfection. No words can describe how you feel when you bite through a Brent's Deli sandwich. Oh and their coleslaw....too much goodness here. It was a comfort food, cheat day and Brent's is definitely the place where you want to be when it hits you! You get that "home" feel when you're at Brent's and they have everything you could possibly want. They cover it all. The best part is, breakfast is served all day. Pricing to portions can't be beat! You can't go wrong with Brent's and the customer service. It is top notch all around! See you in two weeks!

2018: No words can describe this deli. Now that we can't dine in and had to order take away, we wanted to make sure it was gonna be something good. We even had to drive thirty minutes to get there so yeah, it will be worth it.
Got my fave, the Black Pastrami Reuben. One word - heaven. I've always loved Brent's because of the quality of their meats and breads. The best. On top of that, they have excellent portions, no matter what you order! I just love their pastrami and their sauerkraut. I also love their Rye and sourdough bread. One word: proper. Even better, they still give you a taste of their complimentary house pickles. That's right. I can't stand pickles but I'll eat theirs! When you dine-in, they usually give you a little appetizer plate of their home made pickles! Crispy and perfectly sour and sweet!! It's just so good! Oh, their steak fries, fantastic, too!! Golden brown, crispy and a huge portion. The portion of our side of fries were packaged in a Brent's Deli small bag! That's right, one side of fries came in a white (brown lunch bag size) bag! We had two sides of fries - one for each sandwich. So, that's a lot of food!
Everything is always delicious from Brent's Deli, whether you are getting an entrée, a soup, sandwich or just sliced meats, even desserts! Definitely excellent even if you're ordering take away food!
On your way out, you'll have to grab one of the (popular NY-style cookie) black and white cookies! Wow, I didn't even take a picture of that but it was delicious! The cookie has a lightly sweet lemon and vanilla flavor. One side is frosted with chocolate frosting and the other half has a lemon icing. I know I should've gotten two of them! I can't finish up this review because I'm about to reheat my leftovers!...
Read moreHi, I’m Not from the area; but have Always heard of Brent’s by My two sisters. My Furbabbie was at the Veternarian close by so I gave it a shot this was like 3 weeks ago. Excellent everything I must say. I went for my sencond visit yesterday. Had a Bagel us Jewish people like with all the fixings & a Herring plate as I was getting back of the good old days back then. I also ordered to go 2 rye breads, a dozen onion bagels, sprinkle cookies yummy!! 3/4 pastrami, some Hamantaschen, (sorry if not spelt correctly) & some corn beef. I was in the area from7am till 6 pm. My doggie was hungry after not on any food for over 24 hours because of testing so I was going to give her alittle taste of the corn beef cuz I didn’t want to give her any of the peppering seasoning. Well I couldn’t find the corn beef. I gave to her the pastrami. I looked and looked again couldn’t find any. We were on our way home which includes the 101, 405, 5, 14 freeways so yes it was stop & go traffic so I decided to call Brent’s where the girl went on & on about store credit blah blah blah. She puts the manager on the phone. He says sure he’ll credit my original form of payment end of story so I thought. I get a call from the manager today. May 10, 2023. Stating he watched the video of his employee putting the corn beef into the bag. I’m Not a 100% Jewish for Nothing. I Don’t take Advantage of Other People whether it’s friends acquaintances or businesses whatever. I won’t use his name. Anyways, he made such a Big Deal that his video & employee put the corn beef in the bag. I don’t care, im not blaming the employee just was making “Brents” Deli aware & it being only my 2nd time there that it happened. I also let him know the girl said she would say out my name when the to go order was ready. I waited & waited. She put it on another place to hold people’s orders & blamed it on the server!! I told her exactly what she stated to me that it was her who said she would call my name. Yes it was a busy lunchtime there. Ok, no big deal! Now back to the Corn Beef, the manager called me at home & a he was wooing & hollering about being right & all that. I told him, Just firget about the credit if your so calling me & telling me I got the corn beef it’s on the video. I just said where is the customer service & all that, that businesses Want their Customers Returning. You know, im not the one to penny pinched it’s Not worth it if their gone sing & dance around the situation. I don’t have time for that!! Thanks...

Brent’s Deli is the latter—a timeless sanctuary of Jewish culinary tradition nestled right here in the Valley. To me, it’s not just a deli. It’s a living tribute to a culture that shaped my childhood in the most beautiful and unexpected ways. Though I’m not Jewish by faith, I was raised with a profound closeness to the Jewish community. As a child, I lived next door to the Glass family—a warm, generous household that embraced me as one of their own. While my parents worked tirelessly, the Glasses watched over me, nurtured me, and welcomed me into their traditions. I attended Hebrew school, celebrated every sacred holiday, and absorbed the values, rituals, and spirit of a people whose resilience and joy left a permanent mark on my heart. Brent’s Deli is a reflection of that spirit. It’s a place where old-world recipes are honored in a new-world setting, where every dish tells a story of heritage, love, and survival. I’ve been coming here since I was five years old. Now, at 56, it still feels like coming home. The matzo ball soup? It’s divine—like it was ladled straight from heaven. That giant matzo ball floating in golden elixir doesn’t just warm your body; it heals you. It’s comfort, tradition, and nourishment in its purest form. And the cheese blintzes with jam and sour cream? Pure joy. I had to revisit this review because my first attempt—typed out hastily on my phone—didn’t give Brent’s the justice or reverence it deserves. In fact, I’m heading there tonight to grab one of their massive, refreshing salads—perfect for a hot August evening. If you haven’t been, go. You won’t regret it. The deli sandwiches are stacked high and full of flavor, and the pickles—oh, the pickles—crisp, briny, and unforgettable. There’s so much to discover, so much to savor. Brent’s Deli isn’t just a place to eat. It’s a place to remember, to honor, and to feel connected to something greater. Whether you grew up in the tradition or are simply seeking a meal made with heart, Brent’s welcomes you...
