I recently had the pleasure of visiting this taco place, and I can’t speak highly enough about the experience. The food is absolutely fantastic—every bite of the burrito I had was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff.
I’ve been going through a really tough time, struggling with homelessness, and it’s been a challenge just to get by each day. When I walked into the restaurant, the staff noticed that I was not doing well. Instead of ignoring my situation, they showed an extraordinary level of compassion and kindness. They offered me a free burrito, no questions asked.
This gesture might seem small to some, but to me, it meant the world. It was not just about the food, but the sense of dignity and humanity they extended to me in a moment when I needed it most. Their generosity and warm-heartedness were truly touching and made a significant positive impact on my day.
If you’re looking for a place with amazing food and an atmosphere filled with genuine care and kindness, this is the spot. The staff here goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and cared for. I highly recommend this taco place to anyone looking for not just great food, but also a place with a heart.
Thank you for making a difference. I’ll never forget...
Read moreMy expectations were high based on other reviews. That being said... We ordered Asada nachos, carnitas tacos and al pastor tacos.
The carnitas tacos were flavorful. The corn tortilla was soft (some eateries heat the tortilla and it ends up rather stiff with no flavor). Here, the tortilla was heated on an oiled flattop, imparting flavor and making the tortillas soft.
The pastor taco was way too oily/greasy to eat, so can't really comment.
The nachos were incredibly disappointing. The chips were almost stale and we're likely from a bag rather than made in-house. Chips are so easy to make, I can't fathom why any restaurant would choose to buy chips in bulk, in bags. The chips had processed cheese poured on them. This too was likely canned 'nacho cheese sauce'. The asada lacked flavor and had too much gristle. One doesn't want to have to pick the inedible bits out of their food. The asada could have been heated on the flattop and developed some char, making the meat flavorful. The nachos were then topped in a mild salsa Verde, onions, cilantro, shredded white cheese (not melted) and a guacamole salsa. For $18, the nachos were overpriced and underwhelming.
Unfortunately, the food won't...
Read moreWas in LA for a wedding and later that night me and my girlfriend were hungry. Saw this place wasn't far from her mother's house and we decided to go and check it out.
Popped in around 8:30, wasn't busy when we got there. I ordered the al pastor tacos and my girlfriend ordered the shredded chicken. I also asked for their hottest hot salsa. We got our food really fast and the person behind the counter was very friendly.
Got back to where we were staying and sat down to eat. The salsa was no joke and I loved it. I always ask for the hottest salsa and while it will be hot it's never what I expect, this cleared my sinuses. The al pastor was excellent! It is my go to taco and this might have been the best I have ever had. Girlfriend really enjoyed her shredded chicken tacos as well. When I find myself in LA visiting family again I will be stopping by...
