Teriyaki Plus — Restaurant in Los Angeles

UPDATE They've remodeled the interior, got rid of the fish tank & playing smooth music 😠😭 I'm not sure what type of music it was but it was really relaxing to sit/eat to. Now they're playing Pop music (UGH) I'll take my food to go. They also switched out the sweet potato for an onion ring (eww), now that I know I'll make sure to switch it out. Food is still delicious so 👍 but I'm taking away 1 star I would have never came here if it weren't for my sister. It's a family owned business since 1989. The food is really good and flavorful! I always order the chicken & shrimp plate, comes on skewer sticks but took food off before taking picture. The teriyaki sauce is very light and thin but has a nice flavor to it. I don't know how they make the salad dressing but its a white thin sweet liquid, at first I was like ehh but once I tried it it's actually really good. I love the fried potato and pot sticker. Healthy and tasty but I find it hard to communicate simple instructions between the friendly counter lady and cooks. I simply ask for no sauce on the rice , and light on the kabobs. Somehow this translate to no dressing on the little salad. I tell them dressing is ok on the salad. They smile amd nod but no dressing. I know it sounds picky but I've tried a half dozen times and never get it correct. I'm a take out guy so when I get home is when I find out.

Teriyaki Plus is a good little place for a quick bite that isn't typical fast food. The menu offers a large choice of teriyaki plates: chicken, beef, shrimp and fish are served with rice, some tempura and a salad for a reasonable price. This restaurant has been lovingly owned and run by a local Korean family for over 20+ years. they are friendly as are the cooks in the kitchen.
