Read moreThis was my first time ever eating Cava and also trying this location. Just walking in was a sign that I should walk back out. The smell of the chili caused people inside to cough. It reminded me of when my mom used to toast chilis. I ordered anyway because I wanted to try it out. After a bit I got used to it. The first employee was blah but she wasn't rude. I told her it was my first time, she didn't offer any suggestions. I decided to build my own bowl. Went with half rice and half salad. The food had flavor; except, it was disappointing because I got the end of the rice batch and there was a lot of hard pieces of rice which ruined the bowl. I got a bowl and a drink and it came out to $20. The flavors of everything was actually pretty good. I love that you can pick three different hummuses Plus a dressing. I think I'm going to try it one more time. I do prefer to buy from a local mom and pop restaurant, I find that the food and the ambiance is a little more pleasant. I do like that they had different teas and fruit water options. The employee at the register was really nice.
The location was clean, had lots of tables to eat. The bathrooms were clean and...
Read moreA delicious symphony of bold, complex Mediterranean flavors in a bowl of goodness!
Cava is not quite fast food, but I'd gladly wait in line. If you've been to restaurants like Chipotle, you'll be familiar with the build-your-ingredients flow, and it's just great to have Mediterranean cuisine with roots from Tunisia and Greece that offers refreshing flavors like the delicious, earthy - and optionally spicy - dips like Harissa, garlic chicken, along with mainstays like falafel,, hummus, and tzatziki.
My favorite here is the Steak + Harissa Bowl. I do swap it out for chicken sometimes as part of the Build You Own option (it's also cheaper than getting Steak).
This bowl consists of the protein, Crazy Feta (spicy) and feta cheese, red pepper hummus, tomatos and onions, cucumber, cabbage stew, brown rice (I swap this out for Saffron Rice), greens, and Harissa vinaigrette.
I also love getting a side of pita chips as well for an extra kick of flavors.
One bite is all it takes to convince me that this is one of my favorite gotos for quick, casual, hearty, delicious meal. It may be packed with deliciousness, but it doesn't feel overly heavy or overladden with...
