I'm normally not one to leave negative reviews, I'm also compassionate due to the covid-19 epidemic.. However.. there was no excuse for how I was served or lack of service I was given when I walked into this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon.. I was the only customer in the restaurant.. I walk in.. there are two people behind the counter.... Not one of the men Said anything to me.. I stood at the counter... No one said anything.. there was no food displayed out like there would normally be but I figured they were getting mostly phone orders so that made sense.. however I stood there while both men just stood behind the counter without acknowledging me at all..Finally a woman came from outside and I thought she would greet me and take my order...I Thought wrong... She said nothing to me as she look right at me and then answered the phone as I continued to be ignored.. I eventually walked out.. and there was silence as I left.. I felt like my business was unwanted.. I felt like my business was not appreciated... I felt like they didn't care if I patronized their business or not.... I felt really unwelcomed . I understand that times are different right now... However there was no excuse for me to have been treated that way... If they only wanted to focus on delivery orders... Then they should lock the doors and not admit walk-in customers.... I worked down the street before covid hit.. and I will never eat at this place again.. and I will tell anyone I know in the Area about my experience... People show their true colors during times of stress or adversity .. and I feel like these people don't give a care about anything but the $$. Or they pick and choose which customers to respect.. I really hope that this wasn't a sexist or racist reason behind the horrible non service... Won't be...

Been ordering from this place for 15 years even before they switched owners from Best Chinese to chef Ming's I had always loved the food and service until tonight sadly I won't be ordering here any more I mean they know me by name when I walk in the store so for them to call my mother a a liar because they sent food that was spoiled and we just wanted to get fresh food and they refused to do that so that you said that's fine we just won't order from you guys again so now we will be ordering from Chin Chin's sad to end the relationship because they called us liers that just bad business yea sadly will never order food from them again and to be 100% fair my cousin a few years back done the same because they sent spoiled meat to the house and same thing called her a lier and refused to give her a refund.. truthfully I'm very upset about this it was my favorite delivery in santa Monica and now I have to start over and fine a new...

Last night, I had a pretty intense craving for the Moo Shu Chicken dish and Chef Ming came to the rescue. Fair prices. Large portions. Kind delivery man.

The Mu Shu Chicken Dinner Special ($15.99) came with 4 pancakes and even arrived with a few surprise sides, including a wonton, egg roll, fried shrimp and "those little crispy things" that most people call wontons. They'll always be littlecrispythings to me. The wonton soup was super fresh tasting and with actual steamed vegetables. It wasn't thick or saucy or fake tasting. It was dang good like momma would make.

Excellent option for Chinese food delivery in the Santa Monica area!

Pro Tips: Ask for extra moo shu sauce, because that little container just didn't cut it Own your own chopsticks? Break them out to make it a special little experience If you're not super hungry, split one of their dinner dishes with a friend Be cool and tip your...

When I opened my takeout tray I got really excited. The food looked exactly how I pictured it. Then I took a few bites and I have to be honest here, it was not good. The more I continued to eat it, the more it became a chore to eat. The chicken was not crispy at all and didn’t have good texture. The noodles were bland. The fried rice… I mean how do you mess that up? That was the worst thing on the plate. The only saving grace of the meal was the sweet and sour sauce. I hate giving negative reviews to local family owned businesses, but there’s no way I could let this slide. Also don’t eat in there. The place looks like it never gets cleaned and I’ve never seen a person eat in there. Willing to speak to the owner about my review if they care.

They have lunch specials with your choice of 1 or 2 entrees and it comes with chow mein and feied rice. I decided to get one full order of kung pao chicken ($20 with tax). The nice lady at the counter offered if I can wait for a few minutes and they will cook a fresh batch for me. There's already a batch on the chaffing dish but I was on a rush and waited for the freshly cooked ones. She also gave me a free meal pack of rice! The kung pao chicken was well seasoned and the serving was huge. I was even able to divide the leftover it into 4 of serving portions. I would love to comeback and try their beef and brocolli, orange chicken and stir fried veggies.

When you eat here you're treated like family. We were welcomed with kind smiles from the entire staff. They were helpful making recommendations and facilitated substitutions. The kitchen area is immaculate. They clearly care about the care of your food which is rare these days. The restaurant was empty, however they seemed to have lots of delivery orders. This will be a stop every time we're in LA. If you're a local and have not tried Chef Ming's Kitchen you should stop by or pick up the phone and order something from the delicious menu.
