Haircut Express — Local services in Los Angeles

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I found this place on yelp and reviews seemed good, so we went there for my husband's haircut. He needed a trim on the back of his head ( he wanted to keep the front and sides intact). I called before we go and asked the price, the guy who answered the phone said it was $20 for a regular cut. We walked in and he started the haircut and after like 5 minuets, he said it is done! I saw that the hair outline on the neck is not even and told him so, he insisted that it is even! I didn't accept and told him it was not ok, he rudely said that I could use a ruler! He was so aggressive and rude, and charged us $25! I said that it should be $20, and it was not even a complete haircut, but he said that $20 price was for basic models, this one was specialized (what the heck???) I think all the good reviews for this place are unreliable. My husband told me that the clippers he was using was dirty and hairy and he just sprayed some ethanol on them, but my husband is too shy to say something and by the way, the guy's attitude was so scary . We will never ever go there again, it was such a waste of money and I will try my best for telling others how horrible the experience was so they don't fall for this place...

CASH Only. For $20+tip, it's worth trying once if you're not particular. You feel like you're interrupting the Russian Mafia, Because... you probably are. I've gone here twice to get my haircut. I don't expect anything special, just an average cut. I had a great experience with one barber and an average experience with the other. The average is because he missed a few strands of hair and pretty obvious at that. You could easily tell once my hair was washed. I like these guys because they don't talk to you. I think they only speak Russian and that makes the experience interesting. I'm excited to try their beard trim and vintage blade shave....

I’ve been here twice. First time I was with Leo, he nailed it. A few missed longhairs, overall a great experience. However, the second time I was with Leo, the other gentleman that was there turned on the TV, and that distracted Leo. So much to the fact one half of my hair is longer than the other. There were even times when I noticed he was l cutting but missing, or cut too short and thought I didn’t notice.
