DC DONUT CAFE — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I went into this donut shop randomly one day with and a group of friends and me and my friends were browsing the selection and I offered to pay for my friends since I was the one who wanted donuts. The owner? or the lady behind the counter saw that I was paying for all of them and gave me a discount. She then gave me and each of my friends a free donut of our choice and put in donut holes in each of our little donut packages. This experience and kindness honestly made my whole day and so I rate the place highly and will definitely return. Funnily enough I was talking to my friend that day about chains vs local stores and I was saying I dont really care much about local stores and prefer chains, the universe that day immeditely proved me wrong with this wonderful experince and I see the value a local chain can have...

I was feeling adventurous so I decided to explore DC Donut's coffee menu. First I ordered a Vanilla Frappucino. It was really good, better than Paris Baguette and larger (24 ounce I believe). It comes with two shots of espresso and tastes like coffee. Much better than Starbucks who doesn't even give you a shot in their Frappucinos anymore. My next visit, I thought the coffee was so good in that Frappucino, so I ordered an americano just to see how good the coffee itself was. They are using Gavina beans (not third wave), so there was no fruitiness, but people who like their coffee to taste like coffee (dark roast) should be satisfied. A small americano is just $2.75. For the espresso snobs, they are using a Casadio Undici espresso machine. I will definitely be coming back for another...

Came here twice so far and really happy with our visits both times. Will definitely be coming back often. First of all, the customer service is above and beyond. They are very kind, helpful, and welcoming the moment you walk through the door. Our food has been made fresh to order each time. I'm partial to the croissant sandwiches which are made with their freshly baked croissants and they are huge, plenty of food. They make a mean Vietnamese iced coffee 👍🏼, and so far both smoothies (strawberry mango and strawberry banana) that we've tried have been great.
