El Incomparable Granada Hills — Restaurant in Los Angeles

What a pleasant surprise! Sometimes you just have to take a chance on a restaurant that's not a 4-5 stars because there's a chance they can aspire to that, and El Incomparable Peruvian certainly fits that.

We ordered the Platano Frito (fried plantain bananas), lomo saltado, and Pollo saltado. These are my usual barometer when trying new Peruvian restaurants.

To start, the aji sauce is creamy and delicious, although lacking a little bit of that heat. Delicious nonetheless, and works well with their bread and our entrée. My picky mom usually doesn't venture out of her comfort zone of Asian cuisine, but she loves the food here.

The Platano Frito were perfectly well done, with their golden brown outer layer that adds just a hint of crust around the soft, delicious sweet plantain. They're just heavenly.

My dish is the classic Lomo Saltado and it is beautifully presented on its unique plate. It looks so good just by looking at it and tastes just as well! The cuts of beef are grilled nicely with flavor and texture, while the onions and tomato balance things out with their sweetness. Finally fries and rice help to soak up the very delicious lonito, the mouth watering broth and soy sauce that makes the dish work so well and is the signature taste of a good Lomo Saltado.

The Pollo Saltado also works very well in this regard, although given the choice, I'll always choose lomo over Pollo saltado because of the the way the beef works better with the Lonito.

And to round it out, Casie our waitress was super friendly and great with her service. A real nice dinner...

My wife and I decided to try El Incomparable Peruvian Cuisine (EIPC) for the first time this evening and we had an excellent local dining experience. Service was prompt and very friendly. My wife was in the mood for rice so she tried the Peruvian fried rice with beef, chicken and shrimp, which she really liked. I ordered Saltado de Camarones , a common Peruvian dish I’d had before elsewhere. It’s a stir fry with shrimp, tomatoes, onions and (wait for it..) french fries. The sauce was delicious and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. There was enough of both dishes left for us to take home nice lunch portions for the next day. Incomparable has Decent food depending on what you order and who’s working there! Nice representation but terrible service. If the lady is there you’ll get decent service nothing special but if the guy server is there he”ll give you awful service. He will rush you out of the restaurant and will only come to ask for your order and bring the food to your table with a terrible attitude.Wont double check to see if you want more food or not. He has negative energy the 5 times I’ve been here!! I work hard for my money so I will not be spending it here were Im treated bad by a server for reasons out of my control.Three to four plates on their menu are authentic the rest are mediocre.
