Kitchen staff is rude to employees and staff:
Always have some small issues here so I don't go to this location much and after today I will not be coming back. I did an over the phone pick up order, ordered half nachos and a side of fries. When I made the order I forgot to ask for a side of bourbon sauce for the fries so I was just going to ask there. I personally really like the bourbon sauce here and don't like/use ketchup (I know I'm weird đ) so whenever i get fries or a burger I always ask. They started adding a $1 charge to the sauce at my local location and was prepared to pay it here. When I got there it was very slow, only two or three tables with people and just me in the lobby. I was welcome by a gentleman ask asked if it was a pick up and directed to a very nice older lady that check me out. I asked about the sauces and some sour cream for the nachos(no was in the bag). She said sure and that she wasn't going to charge me for it which I think are for and proceeded to walk to the kitchen to ask for the sauce. Immediately you heard an attitude response from the kitchen guy I didn't hear exactly what he said but right after he walked away from her. She then went to get the sour cream and once that was filled I heard her mentioning again to him about the bourbon sauce, he then asked her if she ''charged me" she said no which made him angrier and looked back at her with attitude waving her off like he was super busy ( mind you with the three tables look like they were leaving). She handed me the sour cream apologized for the wait and again went to go ask for the bourbon sauce. I started to tell her not to worry about it but she had already walked off and you can hear him say directly through the kitchen "what do they even need it for they ordered nachos!" At this point I honestly did not care anymore president was wondering if I saw any fast food barbecue sauce packets back at work, it was just more annoyed with the way he was talking to her. I tried to get her attention because I didn't want to just walk when she asked for a fourth time for the sauce and even pointed out "she's still waiting".The cook she was talking to then proceeded to look in between the kitchen dividers at me, shot me a death look, grab the sauce cup, poured the sauce, slammed it on the tray and slid(aggressively) it at the lady. She gave it to me apologizing again and to have a nice day.
But seriously what was the point of all of that! None of that was necessary just pour the sauce in a cup and be on your way. You'd think I was asking for like liquid gold. I never got a chance to look at the name tag for the lady who was trying so hard to help me but my receipt said "Olo A " and she is the only reason for the stars on my review cuz that...
Read moreFood had a horrible taste to it, kind of like chemical. There is no way that is safe to eat. Don't know what the cook was making the food with, all I know is that when I worked at dennys our food never tasted as bad as that one did.
Other than that the service was mid. People should understand when you don't give them a tip, and not decide to treat you unfairly over that.
Ideally the cook is always the one who deserves the tips, not the hostess or server. Neither of those too are the reason your eating for anyone's information, keep that in mind when paying them a tip, the cook never ends up with the tip despite the good food. Meanwhile the lazy ones end up with the money you worked for. Don't feel bad for anyone, that's their job to make you a satisfied customer, if they treat you unfairly report them to the manager. Believe it or not some managers will actually discipline their workers for unacceptable behavior.
Side note: While I worked at many fast food restaurants, I never expected any form of tip from anyone. I worked solely for the purpose of keeping our customers happy and satisfied. Eventually I moved on to become a Sous Chef. It was nice to see we had very high demanding challenges, though our work often goes unpaid. Even if you work hard, the cooks are always under paid for their value and effort. The ones they keep happy are the lazy ones such as the hostess, server, and cashier which they all end up with the tips at the end of the day, and the cooks get not one cent of that. It's very unfair, but sadly this is how all restaurants operate. Please consider this always when buying food. Don't feel bad, money does not grow on trees and people that are helping you at the table are doing so because that's their job. If they don't like the fact they didn't recieve a tip then that job isn't for them. Thanks for reading....
Read moreFrom the moment we walked in, Cristal made us feel genuinely welcomed. Her warm smile, friendly demeanor, and upbeat energy immediately set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. She greeted us like we were longtime regulars, even though it was our first time seeing her, and her attentiveness never wavered throughout the entire meal.
Cristal was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions when we were indecisive. She took the time to explain a few popular dishes and even made sure to accommodate special requests with zero hesitation. Our food came out exactly as orderedâand quicklyâbut what really stood out was how present and thoughtful she was. From perfectly timed refills to checking in just the right amount (not too often, not too little), Cristal struck the perfect balance of being attentive without ever feeling intrusive.
What made the experience even more special was Cristalâs genuine care. She took a moment to connect with us beyond just taking our order, making small conversation that felt sincere and never forced. You could tell she takes pride in her work and truly values her customers. Itâs rare to come across someone who clearly enjoys what they do and goes the extra mile with such authenticity.
Cristal turned what could have been just another meal into a truly enjoyable and relaxing outing. If every server were like her, dining out would always be a pleasure. Sheâs a shining example of top-notch customer service, and we hope Dennyâs knows what a gem they have on their team. Weâll absolutely be returning and asking for...
